what a rollercoaster all this is with good days and bad days!

we got he test results back from the vet.he checked for all kinds ....full blood count, full scan and xray, sterile urine sample and everything has come back negative barr his slightly enlarged spleen which the vet is currently looking into.we haven't got the arcromelagy one back yet.since the vet has given him the antiobiotic his numbers have lowered but then on Friday he was terrible and his numbers shot up into the red. I can tell when hes feeling poorly or in pain (I just don't know which ) by the way he is,whether that happens first which shoots the bg up or his bg goes up,which then makes him feel ill.i don't know!! his fructosimine has lowered from 600 to 522 which is a sure sign we're heading in the right direction though :-)

his neuropathy is a problem and im currently giving him 2 zobaline a day (due to baileys weight) the vet says what the body doesn't use he will urinate out so its better to give too much than not enough if that makes sense.he doesnt know whether him being lethargic and his numbers being up and down is due to inflammation of some kind or something to do with his neuropathy.whatever it is the vet is not giving up.hes just rang me (sunday at 9.30pm) and im going back to discuss more Tuesday.

on the nicer side,me and bails have had a relaxed snuggly day together and hes been a lot more alert, and been up and about watching a moth and things today so when hes feeling better, mamabean is feeling better!

sorry long condo but just wanted to put you guys in the picture.

Hi Anna - you are sure right, this FD dance is one huge roller coaster of emotions. :YMHUG: Bailey had an awesome night and first part of today. Look at all that blue! :-D And yeah for a day of snuggles - great way to spend a Sunday.

Good to hear the tests are back with all negatives except the spleen and that your vet is researching it. I think cats feel out of sorts either if the numbers are high or when they are zooming up. I know Neko still doesn't like zooming into pinks and we've been at this a couple of years.

anna, did the vet also order the iaa test as well as the acro? it's the other most common high dose condition - insulin auto antibodies, where the body produces antibodies to the insulin that is injected.

lots of blue in the past day - looks good!

oooo don't know about that.im seeing him again tomorrow so I will ask him. baileys a lot brighter today.even played for abit when I came home in my lunch hour.
his numbers have been so much lower since his vet visit.its a strange one.like the vet said the antibiotics are obviously doing the job of fighting an infection or inflammation of some kind yet the results have come up normal and all his white/red blood cells and potassium levels don't indicate an infection but to see a huge drop in his bg numbers its obviously doing and done something!
