Last Night:
304 PMPS
381 +2
321 +5.25
347 +8
J.D. is in bounce  I gave him some R using my regular syringes, not the ones I used last time.
He slept with me almost all night, and he just ate his 1st Breffis (CPC), and is now laying in his kitty bed.

Re: 05/14 J.D. AMPS 453, +2 370, +3 274, +4 191

Sorry Dian  .

I messed up, by giving him R, and too much of it.
He'll bounce more, now  from the fast drops.

I did feed him at +1, and at +2 (on a work day, it's +1.5), and I set the feeder, which I found out just now that it opens at +4 instead of +5. He did not eat the food from the feeder though (neither cat, normally do, until sometime in the middle of the night (when it's very old :? )).

I have an appointment at +5, and another at +7.5. Neither one should last more than 45 minutes, I hope.

J.D. is staying down in the basement, because he thinks he's going to work with me. I'm going to bring him upstairs before I leave and shut the basement door with a litter box upstairs, so he has access to the feeder food, if he so chooses to eat it.

Wow! That R is good stuff! Can bring down the bg so fast? Easy does it J.D.!

Re: 05/14 J.D. AMPS 453, +4 191, +4.75 176, +6 167

Yes, but as you can see, it's very powerful, and it's easy to get into an R bounce, which I just did, by causing J.D. to come down too fast. ***It can also be very dangerous, in the wrong hands.***

I probably shouldn't have even given him any, and instead I should have just hoped he'd come down on his own (which he would have eventually) during the day. But with a +8 last night of 347 and a morning AMPS greeting of 453, I did  and I can't take it back, all I can do is learn from my mistakes.

IT IS ok. it is what it is, next time you know (if you do it) to feed MC /HC to slow it down. he may be ok as long as he does not go into doubles

Dian, I watched while he ate some of the feeder food at +9, and again at +11. Because that's part of seeing what he does while I'm at work. I tested at +11.25 and got a 329, right after he ate, just so I had something to compare to PMPS.

J.D. ate all his 1st Dinner, and tried to get Gingers. And then just ate all of 2nd dinner, and did get some of Gingers.
He is now happily sitting in his bed by the open window...and Ginger is clawing the back of my chair trying to get me to go outside with her

ok, well, I know you know this but I am going to mention anyway............
no food for 2-3 hours before testing AMPS or PMPS.
that could be a part of the problem. I dunno
that and another bounce. let's see what happens next. I do not think I would raise the base insulin at this time. let;s tide this through unless he goes higher

ready for bed here.
have a good one

I know not to feed him 2 hours before PS and normally don't feed him if it's 3 hours or less before PS, unless he's low.
I just thought we were seeing what he does while I'm at work, and I return home at PMPS most of the time and have no idea whether he ate the left out food at +9, +10, or +11, and saw today that he did eat at +9 and at +11.

Okay, it's beddy bye here, too. ...J.D. is sound asleep with a smile on his face :) ..shhh
