No news to report on Blackie.
However, my SIL called me yesterday to take a look at her lifeless, breathing shallow, yellow tongued, yellowed gums cat to see what was wrong with him. I brought a few cans of food down with me, despite I knew he wouldn't eat (sure enough, he didn't), and checked him out. Cat got off the surface he was laying on and basically was searching for a place to die. I told them to leave him alone, since they weren't going to take him to the vet to have him humanely put down (SIL's husband wasn't going to fork over the money to do this). I knew this cat wouldn't make the night, and I'm sure that he didn't. When I got home, I looked up the symptoms online and I believe he had kidney/liver failure. Probably from a fight with a tom, which there are plenty of them around here. I found out that they also have 7 kittens. Great. I have repeatedly told them all to get these cats fixed before they have any more kittens. Now, they have more kittens. I saw 2 of them. One of them is a calico. We have 9 cats in total. We're not getting anymore. It's going to sound pretty bad coming from a cat lover such as myself, but these cats that they have are better off not being around, especially since they (the humans) don't care about their wellbeing. They seem to care more about their small dogs than the cats. Frankly, they don't deserve any animals, at all. I feel for the kittens because their future is pretty bleak, and the kittens don't deserve that.
MY WISH: For God to continue to help those who have gone through disasters... For God to help heal the broken hearts of those who have lost a beloved pet and/human... For God to continue to help Sienne's sister overcome her ailment, and make a full and speedy recovery... For God to help those kittens make it through life, and hopefully my SIL will have the heart to give them up to better, more caring homes... For everyone to have a great day of #s... For everyone to be OTJ one day.
