J.D. couldn't wait to go outside this morning. It's a little nicer outside this morning, since the rain has stopped.
He ate his 1st Breffis on the deck, while I fed the squirrels and Ginger chased one.

Here's the letter/report I received from the Internal Medicine doctor.
It's titled "MEDICAL NOTE TEMPLATE INFORMATION"
5/4/2013 16:07 Blood Pressure: systolic 160 mm Hg LF cuff 1
and that's all they wrote..

Back to bed for me.

The bill was about ten times what the regular vet charges for a blood pressure check.
And the regular vet does it in front of me, and gives me the readings to take home and I get a lot more readings, not just one. But the regular vet does use the tail, and they used his fore arm at the IM vet. I'm sure they know what they're doing.
I got a long long lecture at me about diabetes included (for free?) with the IM vet.
We have a client at work who works at and is the husband of another local vet that I've only been to once. I asked her a few weeks ago if they do blood pressure checks and she said they did. She called again last week, and I told her that I had gotten the 3rd opinion at the IM vet and was interested in getting a 4th opinion from her practice, and she said are you still worried about that? and asked me who I saw and when I mentioned Red Bank, she was like  uh, you don't need another opinion, they know what they are doing.. okay.

J.D. seems to have a tummy ache today. He threw up bile at +11.5. I gave him Pepcid last night at PMPS, and this morning at AMPS. He ate half of his 1st Breffis, and at +2 or so, he went wandering outside to find some grass to chew on to throw up again. I gave him some baby food at +2 and he licked about 1/4 of it from the jar before I took it away. He ate a little more FF at +4, but is kind of just laying around and seems like he has a tummy ache. He did leave me a big poo in front of the litter box this morning :? (I can only assume it was his, and not Ginger's by the size).

+2 176, +4 166

I think I'm going to get off the computer for awhile and get some housecleaning done around here.

J.D. seemed to be feeling a lot better when we finally settled down for a nap at about +5, all louds purrs and snuggling with his back legs behind my head, his body over my face, and me rubbing on his chin and cheeks from what I could see between his front legs and fur.

He was a nice steady blue all day.

and then up he soars... I just gave him 1 drop of R (less than zero line), hopefully it helps and does not set up another bounce.

J.D. ate pretty much at each test except the +10, about 1/8 can of FF or so, each time. So about average, just in smaller meals.

We went for a couple walks. I did notice on our last walk that he was weaving/wobbily walking while in the grass on the way up the hill towards home. I don't notice him doing that on solid surfaces, so I took him to the sidewalk, and sure enough he walked just find. I wonder what it is about the grass that makes him do that.

At +11 he starting showing me he was hungry? by chasing after Ginger and then she turns on him because of it and bites him in the ears and back of his hind legs (where he is vulnerable), and then J.D. does his walking off howling afterwards. I gave him some Pepcid, then. Maybe all this time that he was howling before meal time in the past and I thought he was hungry..it was really an acid tummy that was bothering him?

1st Dinner has been eaten, and kitties are getting settled in for the night ahead.

Hi Dyana,
Happy MamaBean's Day! It sounds like you had a fine, relaxing day with J.D. and Ginger. I hope J.D.'s tummy issue was just one of those things and that you all will have a lovely evening.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty
