yesterday's adventures: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=43029
have a look, there's a wonderful "Captain Chaos" image in there that made my day!
Afternoon, everyone! How is everybody?
I am attempting to decompress here as Chaos kicks off his PM cycle with a sunny yellow 263 PMPS. I am seeing downward action in his future, folks. We now have a routine. I walk in the door from work and Chaos shoots out of it! It's been sunny here since Sunday, sort of a miracle for N.E. Ohio really, so I just let him go for it. He's a good boy, stays in the yard and always comes in right away when I call. All his P's seem to be in good working order, and he is currently lounging on the living room floor giving himself his post-dinner baff.
I, meanwhile, really need to decompress. My trainer at work uses the "Scare the Sh*t Out Of You" method of motivation so this job is hell on my anxiety disorder. Can't take my meds, they just make me slower. First thing today she issued what sounded like mild threats to drop me from the apprenticeship program if I didn't start 'making my times' (doing things ridiculously fast to make the time the computer says I should have) and being less messy; that it was "getting to be decision time about whether or not this was for you". Oh boy. I worked like the hounds of hell were chasing me all day long! I come to find out later on that she has no say in whether or not I keep at it, I'm UNION dammit, so what the ??? I've only been at it 5 weeks... There are days I am so happy to come home and the only demand on me here is my sweet Chaos kitty. Why, oh, why did I leave him to go out in the world and get a job?
In mouse news, a note for me from DH: "hello gorgeous Bebe! That friggin bugger ate the bait. This means war. The mouse will pay. See you tonight. Love, Hub" Two mouse traps, baited with our furry foe's favorite Ivory soap, were de-soaped and sprung this AM despite DH's having stuck the bait holder right into the chunks of soap! He thought this would prevent the mouse from being able to swipe the bait quickly, dodging the trap. Not so much. DH is right, this means war.
