Good morning!!
It's been beautiful here in NE Ohio and Chaos could not be loving it more. The last two days, he's enjoyed being outside in the sunshine with mama and the look of bliss on his little face... priceless. He checks in with a sunny yellow 270 today. Yesterday's AM cycle was a little high and the PM cycle was a total bust (more on that later) but I am expecting good things from the boy today. Something tells me we'll see action. It seems to me that the dose reduction is holding to some extent but I know I need more data. Today is Data Day. It's my last chance for a week!
All the P's are in place today, and Chaos is back in Houdini mode lately. DH could not find him at all the other morning and I had to laugh because of all the times it has happened to me. Well, I found one of his little hidey-spots, but I'm sure it's not the only one. As I type, he is snoozing in my box of scrap fabric, snug and happy. I know there has to be another one, though, because at other times I could not find him and I'd checked the scrap box. Hmmm...
In other news, Chaos is FIRED. There is a MOUSE!!! In my basement! And guess what it likes... SOAP. A mouse has been sitting in the soap dish in my shower, pooping and munching away on my bar of Ivory soap. The edges are all gnawed off. The teeth marks are crystal clear now that DH fixed a leak that was dripping on the soap and obscuring the marks. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Our civie, Lu, is elderly and retired, and Chaos is crap at hunting. He's only ever caught bugs and toys. Alas, DH will have to do the mouse trap thing and I'll just hope I'm not the one to find it sprung... ick. But the soap.. that boggles my mind. I don't think the mouse will come upstairs because it knows there are cats. All the food is upstairs so I guess it eats what it can get to? I dunno, the whole thing is very bizarre.
Work wears me out, but I am gaining about a pound a week. My hands are numb and tingling, and so swollen that I can't wear my wedding ring, even on my days off. It can be so hard to do the AM test and shot sometimes, when I can't feel my fingertips. Legs are black and blue; 88 lb girl vs 40 lb bucket, all day every day. But I am managing. Yesterday DH took me on a bike ride that rendered me incapable of movement for the rest of the night. Steak and king crab were administered with ibuprofen. Chaos provided entertainment by spazzing all over the house and then lying on his back, legs in the air, surrounded by his toys. He seems to be doing well, no problems, lots of energy, and he's been in a great mood now that the sun has come out.
