Gaba can knock out cats initially. It takes their bodies a few days to get used to it. Till then they will be a little out of it - sleepy, zonked....I didn't give him gaba since he was soooo out of it last night - he felt all limp & loosey goosey, pupils super dilated - seems Bubba is perhaps super sensitive to gaba?

I'd be really pressing about getting an ondansetron script. And yes, it's very expensive here, but worth having around for times like this when his appetite is off. Maybe even some Miritaz too, which is an appetite stimulant. Though you need to deal with nausea first.Looks like that new dose worked OK today.

I did a two week trial with Neko on gaba, it wasn't doing a lot for her and she was still sleepy. Bupe was much better. But it seems to really depend on the cat. I liked the liquid bupe cause it was easier to modify the dose up or down as needed too.
. I had to run off to an appointment and other errands I've been putting off so didn't get a chance to follow up, but the pharmacy was going to contact the vet to clarify. So annoying lol
