I haven't been able to get Sinver to test for ketones yet. I spend most of the day away from home, and it's proving difficult. He's doing well; perhaps later I'll have to look into getting him a dental cleaning—his teeth look very dirty—and take the opportunity to have his six-month blood work done to see how his body is functioning. But for now, work has me completely exhausted. Working in a psychiatric hospital is very hard for me; I don't know how much longer I can keep it up.

I’m sorry work is so tough. It sounds very stressful

Maybe you can try to get the test when you are home at night. It’s the best you can do.
Or you could get a ketone meter that works with a blood test ear prick whenever it’s convenient.

Hi, I get home very late at night, it's impossible to take a reading. It will be easier in the morning. He usually uses the same pattern, but if I'm not home it's practically impossible. I'll look into buying a ketone meter on Amazon, although I have no idea which one to buy. We've had diabetes for three years and I haven't bought one because of lack of money. Maybe now that I'm working I can get one.

Maybe you could make a post on the main health page and ask if anyone in Spain or the EU uses a certain ketone meter (they may be different than we use in the US).
