AMPS=146, +2=143

Hubby got up and TFS this morning and got +2. Reports he doesn't think Gizmo is feeling well (he had already gone to be before last nights issues).

Gizmo has eaten well at PS and +2.5 (that is good). I am going to try and get a Pepcid into him and a wee bit of pain meds in just a bit (any issue with giving both at the same time?).

I am not feeling well either. I am not sure what this is but I have it every now and again where I am really dizzy (I think it may be sinus related but not sure, I am also on blood thinners and that may be it). I am so dizzy that I almost can't take a shower (close my eyes). Then the dizziness makes me nauseated.

Hubby has taken off with a friend and they are headed to the casino for the day so it is just be me and Gimzo. Hopefully a quiet day.

Oh, and a shout out to Carla (@carfurby) for maintaining the "how to get them to eat" list. I had purchased the Fortiflora and used it last night and it worked like a charm! I used only a 1/16 teaspoon in his food and that was all it took to entice him! :bighug: Thank you!

Oops. I just posted on yesterday's condo. I hope you both feel better soon and Gizmo keeps eating for you. Surf safely Gizmo.

Ok, I am experimenting. He did not eat his +4.5 snack and I needed to know how low he would go in the event he pulls this while I am at work. So.. +5 and +5.5 is NO +4.5 snack. He still hasn't eaten it but it will be there until it turns to his +8.5 snack. I am going to get another test at +6 (just to make sure he isn't dropping).

I also made up an ice tray with the Wellness complete turkey (which is a bit higher carb) and will use this in his +4.5 snack going forward into the week. That won't do any good if he wont eat it but I don't know what else to do other than backing down to a 0.75 skinny.

The ice tray is from a mini-fridge so the food-cubes are about 2 teaspoons. Once frozen I will pop them out into a rubbermaid and be able to just drop it in to his bowl before I leave if I feel it is necessary. I put a drop of fish oil in the bottom of each cube section in the hopes it will make it easier to get out.

I have not encourage him at all to eat (as I need to know how low he is going) - as I won't be here to do so when I am at work. I did get a bit of pain meds in him when I tested at +4 and will try and get a pepcid into him once I feel he has gone as low as he is going to go (which I think we are there).

Any other suggestions?
This is from yesterday's condo:
I am worried about these low numbers going into the work week - I may need to back off the 0.75U - any suggestions?

AAANNNDDD...

Just after I posted I went to the kitchen to get my cup of coffee and he was just finishing his +4.5 snack (@ almost +6). I am planning on making his PS and +2 a smaller snack and his +4 (going into nadir) the larger (rather than almost equal). Maybe that will encourage him to eat as he won't be as full from +2.

It's frustrating when you don't know if they eat and how low they go when you have to work. I'm glad he finally ate for you. Changing the snack size sounds like a good idea.

How is the paint job going?
How does any modeling job go? :banghead:

They called yesterday morning and said they couldn't be here until after noon. We said fine. Then they called and needed access to the back yard and the back door to fix the back door mistake (they installed the door opening the opposite of what the old one was and it wouldn't work with the new, proposed layout of the new kitchen). We made then correct it. Well, they worked on that for almost four hours (back door, open, Gizmo)... We had to wait until they finished to run errands (we took turns so someone was here). They didn't get to the painting. Called last night and wanted to do it today. I said NO. Sunday is my only day to relax and get stuff done around the house and I just wasn't in the mood to have them around. I guess they are going to paint sometime this week. Just so ready for it to be done. We still have tons of projects that are up coming. I think we are taking a couple of months break. Going to be hot and all inside work - you are not supposed to run the AC. We also have to figure out how we are going to live - while getting through all of this (we are remodeling the entire house) - you know, small logistics like where we are going to sleep and how will we cook.

Managed to get him to eat the +8.5 snack. I added 1/4 capsule of Canna to it. I could not get him to eat the pepcid (I was trying it alone, crushed in a bite of "special" food). That was about an hour ago. He may be acting a bit better.

There is a change of foods tonight so I am hoping that helps (along with feeling a bit better). I may try another pepcid later tonight - depending on his eating his "scheduled" snacks.

All that aside, he is having a beautiful surf! :D:cool:

Kinda excited about my little freezing experiment.

They all fell out - no issues with them sticking at all. Each one weighed 1/4 oz. I then cut them in half and plan to add to Gimzo's +4.5 for the AM cycle. Besides being a little extra food it is a bit higher in carbs. They won't add much but just enough that it will give me the extra peace of mind. It is going to be a very busy week. I have Dr. appt tomorrow afternoon and a meeting at work Tuesday that starts at 3:00p and don't know how long it will run. Hubby will be in charge of TFS both evenings.
