I always worry about Bg over 200. Ravan had High #'s for a long time & then developed Kidney disease.I now regret I wasn't getting his BG down sooner.

Don't feel bad, I think it depends on cats. Some can cope more easily with numbers over 200 without major problems than others who are a little more fragile! I think we all try to do the best we can with the knowledge we have and the life we live!

I appreciate your concern, but there's not a lot I can do about the bouncing since I can't see what Furball does the 4 days I work. She's very bouncy this time around on insulin. I don't think it is as bad to be high from bouncing as it is to stay in high numbers all of the time.

That doesn't mean the high numbers caused the kidney disease. Lots of cats get kidney disease. You're doing the best you can with what knowledge and abilities you have.

Exactly what I meant! I had two kitties that died from CKD in my life and they were not diabetic!
