Good morning everyone :coffee:,

I was very surprised by his AMPS today. I double checked to be sure, and the second number was 174. Makes me wonder if he went low last night, I didn't check since his +2 wasn't significantly decreased from his PMPS. I will keep a good eye on his numbers today although I really wanted to go out to lunch with my grandma today. We usually go to lunch on Saturdays and I haven't seen her in a few weeks. Maybe I can convince my mom to bring her to lunch somewhere close to me so I can just pop in to say hi ;).

He was super duper lovey this morning. Which made me happy because he has not been cuddly since we came home at all. He has not napped, and possibly not slept at all, since we were back from the dental. Last night after 11pm I found him wide eyed under my bed, and he is never under there. I thought it might be the Onsior pain med (which he has three days of) because a possible side effect is "behavior changes and restlessness", but someone on the Facebook group said it might still be the effect of the anesthesia. We will see if he naps today at all.

I hope everyone has a great day, and vines :bighug: to all that need them.

Great amps:cool:

Looks like a bounce breaking to me, though it is possible he is on his way up from a visit to something lower last night, though he did not broadcast it with his +2 last night if he did.

A +1 and +2 should provide the answer.

A lack of food bump at +1 or a drop by +2 and I think you will need to watch him.

I'm glad he is feeling lovey and wanting cuddles.

Will be watching your condo now - as Silver and Shmee had their dentals so close together. Maybe they can hang out in the lagoon together.

+2.5 = 133

Shoot I just saw this, I went out to get some shopping done since I don't have time later tonight and I knew I had to be here for the middle of his cycle.

+5 76

PS - My mom is bringing my nana to my driveway with ice cream after their lunch so I can at least see her :). Happy about that.

I'd advance him a couple tsp now, to try to encourage a surf. :D

Just saw this - you mean a couple tsp's of his LC regular food? I will try to remember this for next time. I don't really understand though, the goal being him not go down any lower?

I also forgot to mention he ate the probiotic in his food again so that's good.
I hope this one is ok. I give it to him at 2pm, since he gets his antibiotic at 9am/pm.

Ok hm, doesn't the food make their number go up though? I'm a little confused. Is it to let them not fall too low, to prevent a worse bounce? Forgive my ignorance!
The object is to get them spend as much time in healthy numbers rather than have them drop too low. A little LC food can encourage this.

ETA If it were late in the cycle you probably wouldn't need to do anything, but at +4 there's likely still a couple of hours to go before he reaches peak insulin action, so he could still drop significantly. By giving a little LC a little earlier you can encourage them to stay flat (surf) for longer in that nice healthy range, spending more time in that range allows the pancreas to heal for longer.

How is the surf going? For those like me that are lazy, do you mind updating the subject line with his latest numbers? After lunch with nana of course.:)

Ok, makes sense thank you!
