Do you know the history behind it? I think it has to be a Scandinavian or Scottish thing but I am not sure. We would put the bouquet on by the door and knock and then hid. That is all I remember though.I had my kids do that too
My guess is it was something my mom and her mom did and my mom carried it along to bring a little cheer to the elderly in our church. Not sure why I remembered it this morning.
