Well...maybe his ear drops are causing his numbers to spike.Tomorrow is his last day on the drops.

Should we wait out before we decide to increase?

Which ear drops are they? I think I might increase tomorrow but see what Bhooma thinks. I thought you were using the ones that did not contain a steroid.

easOtic. It’s for dogs, but it’s what the vet uses for all her diabetic kitties because it won’t spike their BG like Surolan does and the Enro/Keto/Tris drops never clears his infections.
With this one we only treat for 5 days and always clears up the infection.

edit: it normally doesn’t affect his BG

It is a steroid but if needed it’s needed. I’m glad it will be finished in a day. Guess you might as well see if his bg goes down without it.

I would take him up in dose. Too many blues. It might take a few days for the numbers to come down after you stop the ear-drops and better if he doesn't hang around in higher numbrs - although his numbers aren't high per se!

I waffled because he’s not really high and barely blue. I’m fine either way.
