Misty’s numbers have remained high. I did a urine ketones test, which was negative, but her urine was cloudy. I’m going to attempt to get a sample to take to the vet for testing, but was wondering if a UTI may cause high numbers. Could this explain why she’s no longer bouncing and is staying high instead?

I’m glad you tested for ketones . Is she eating any better?
I think you need to increase the dose of insulin to 3.25 U. Once the UTI is treated she will probably need less insulin.

I’ve kept waiting for her to go low and it hasn’t happened. She seems nauseous when she’s high and she’s stopped eating whiskas because of it. We are back to fancy feast.
The new job is ok and I managed to work from home 3 days this week, so I increased the dose and managed to monitor Misty. I hope to do a similar thing next week.
I just hope Misty doesn’t deteriorate before I can get her to the vet. Before I was testing her, she would end up with what looked like purely bloody urine and a lot of irritation before I realised. Hopefully I’ve caught it in time. Now I just need to get the sample on Monday morning.
