No idea why so high today, I can guarantee no contraband. I overslept this morning, by almost an hour, so breakfast and shot were late, but I don't think that's the problem. I am afraid it's his teeth - yesterday I saw him paw at his face after taking a bite of food, like he had something stuck in his teeth. I think they are hurting him, at least at certain times when he is eating. :(

:(Oh I’m sorry Squallie’s teeth are bothering him. Maybe AB can help in lieu of a dental?

:bighug::bighug:To you both
That's my thinking, Michelle. I wish he would let me look in his mouth; he's so very easy-going about absolutely everything, except looking in his mouth! He hates that, and will fight me about it. I'm going to give it another day and, if he's still fussing about it, make a vet's appointment for him.

Thanks! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Prayers for sweet Squallie , that if anything is going on with his mouth it is easily solved:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
Thanks, Beth. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
I wish it was easily solved, but because of his age and a slight heart murmur, he is not a candidate for a dental. He does have FORLS, he's already lost one tooth to it, and infection is a big concern because it can so easily get into the bone. I know he has lesions on other teeth but I can't monitor it effectively because he won't let me look in his mouth without an army to help me!

Does he have many teeth left. Ty is a gummy except for his front jobs.
Mind you husband is a gummy too. Put that down to rugger and footie.

Unfortunately for him, Squallie still has all his teeth, except the one he has already lost to FORLS. He lost his left front canine, and I know he has lesions on his right front canine. I'm sure he has more that I can't see. We've been lucky that, until now, they haven't bothered him.

Elmo is in same boat with Squallie concerning dentals ...I have been “ brushing” with coconut oil for some time to help with anti fungal, anti bacterial . Some times adding a bit of grated white cheddar for the enzymes . Prayers for Squallie to not have mouth problems :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I'm so sorry Squallie's mouth is bothering him. I hope you can find a way to help him. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Thanks, Carla. I know you understand all too well about dental/mouth issues. I only saw him paw at his mouth the one time, so I'm hoping it was a one-off thing. Prayers that Simba's mouth is feeling better. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks, Beth! I would never have thought of adding cheese to the brushing, how clever! I wonder if yogurt would work, too? I can't brush Squallie's teeth, it's a serious fight just to get his mouth open, and then I'm in danger of losing fingers, lol. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
