Cambridge and Toronto kitties are on a mission!

Re: 04/28 Lucy AMPS 94 +2 88 +7 86

Lucy must be hearing all of the encouragement being sent her way! Another nice green number for us! We have been napping today trying to make up for the last couple days!

She is currently snuggling on my lap and reading the boards along with me!

I don't want to poke her too much today, but will get a +9 and +11 reading, just to get some more between shot numbers.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Yay! 86 lol

Crossing fingers and paws that there are no surprises tonight with our girl Lucy! She would be thrilled if she could have a less 'pokey' night! And I would be thrilled to sleep through the night! :-D

Man, shooting 0.1u is a challenge!

Will test at +1 and +2 to hopefully get an idea of how the night will play out!

Surf's up!

Question: Do any of you feed after your PM shots? Just curious, Lucy seems to be hanging out by the feeder...not sure if it is becuase over the last couple od days evening tests were so low and she was getting HC?? Or maybe she wants a midnight snack? Thoughts?

We usually give post-pokie-test LC snack at +2 and +4 (both AM and PM)- unless, of course, HC gravy is called for.

Lucy is looking awesome!!

One thing you may want to consider given how good Lucy's numbers are looking is that spreading out meals is easier on the pancreas. If you give all of Lucy's food at shot time, that's a lot of food for her to eat and digest. By spreading out the food (aka "mini meals"), the pancreas is working but on smaller amounts of food. Many of us feed our cats several small meals.

Ok, sounds good!

I currently have the feeder set to open at + 2 and + 6 during the day, she also has access to any breakfast (until +2 when the feeder moves) that she doesn't finish right away. I think I will try setting the feeder to open after her PM shot. I want to make this as easy on her little pancreas as I can, and to encourage it to keep working so we can be insulin free *crossing fingers & paws*
