@Sue and Luci Thank you Sue. We got the Pretty Litter and Chanel of course she did not like it...in the beginning. Yesterday she was in mutiny mode and did not poop, hence the BG numbers and the previous green day when she ate 5 TIMES during day, the little porky
. However, yesterday we put another litterbox with her previous litter, next to one with Pretty Litter. Surprise surprise, she went for Pretty Litter but still wanted to show who the boss is, so she redecorated the bathroom with the litter. However, the color in the litter show her urine to be fine as pH so she is good. Today, she still does not use the other litterbox, but I guess she just want to make sure she has options. She also scratches less or at least I like to think so.
She seems to go pretty low, she might want a dose reduction. I may try tomorrow to get her to 1.75 and see how is she taking it in the next days. Before she was not able to do well on dose reductions but I think she did pretty nice on the reduction she had for the past 5 days.
@Olive & Paula I do not think they are picky, it is just their smell is elevated and I have to say that I stepped on the previous SoPhresh crystals litter and I thought I will start howling. Those crystals were really bad for my feet and I know Chanel does not like the clay particles stuck in her paws especially because she is licking her own paws so if I take into consideration that the clay is chemically treated,...I kind of understand why she is not happy about it and maybe the scratching is a consequence of that clay litter and its dust.
@Sonia & Leo We decided to try the Pretty Litter because of the possibility to identify a potential infection before getting too bad. Since she had UTIs in the past and it took us a while to identify her allergy reasons (bedsheets, maybe clay litter), we thought that those little crystals will be soft enough for her paws and odorless because the baby does not like any type of scent or odors. We hope she will get to like the Pretty Litter. For now, she is busy in re-arranging the bathroom and yesterday she did not like the idea of having a new litter so she decided not to poop all day long. She is very conservative in her ways and now she has both litterboxes at her disposal, not that she is touching the one with her old litter.
She is mischievous this way.
@carfurby She is doing great, watching her TV series and sleeping belly up. I hope she will be doing better and better, which reminds me...I need to change the old bedsheets with the other set of old bedsheets. I am afraid to even think of trying the new bedsheets again LOL
