Good morning, Deb!

Let's go south, Sly! Fishing and clam hunting!

Sly is coming, hes putting his scuba gear on.. I swear I feed him when he drops like this, but it's like he doesn't care, he keeps going down.... So frustrated though, because then he bounces during the PM cycle!!

‘Morning, Deb! Your note about Sly not responding to carbs reminds me of something @Angela & Cleo wrote about the kind or source of the carbs making a difference for Cleo (i.e. potato vs. tapioca starch, etc.). I also found that a 13% variety of BFF pouch worked much better than 16% renal diet to bring Chispa up from a dip, presumably for the same reason. Check the labels and maybe experiment a bit? :bighug::cat:

Yeah, I'm going to have to do that, because even FF gravy seems to not have any impact when he's diving..!! If he's low and I'm trying to hold him in a bounce clear, MC works ok.

Then I worry about HC food being too much, as well... for example; yesterday when he dropped at +3 I fed HC, but then he went super low at +5 and came right back up. So, I'm trying to determine if his bouncing is from the steep drop or the food also bringing him back up too quickly.

Just feeling a little confused, and I know ECID, but my last sugar cat was soooo different, and I didn't have to monitor as often, because he didn't have such extremes.

Yes, I’ve had the same question at times. I can’t help thinking, wouldn’t it be great if one day they would all get on the same page and surprise us with total consistency, so that we could solve this puzzle once and for all??? hahaha …

Yeah, it would be great if I knew he was diving or floating down! Sometimes checking him every 30 minutes is the only way! But im lucky to work from home, so at least I'm here..
