Good morning girls !

Yeah, I'm still alive (for those who were worried), a break from the FD was good.
It's hard not to stick on this nasty sickness for the hole day when you post. Anyhow,
that's life, you come and go but you always come back :bighug:

Daily routine has been the same since last week-end (1 week ago). Epilepsy is and
has always been another come and go, once every 2 month a seizure will come up
then I'm set for some time. That week was different, I made 4 seizures in 3 days,
Amanda, witch was on skype with me, assisted her first inauguration (I think she
freaked out o_O). Be reassured, this is just a cut off in time then the system comes
back online. What's tricky is if you go ''off-line'' in the subway or while crossing a
street so I called my doctor the next Monday. I was told there was no neurologist
at the ''Institue Neurologique de Montréal'' for a month.. o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O. To go to
the emergency if it could not wait o_Oo_O. So this is what I did, with my father
confused about where we were heading and dropping me off at the deserted Neurologic
hospital... Was able to reach my destination by other means and going straight to
the stretcher. They did tests and tests to finally come up with a medication increase
and a week off the office for ''recovery'' :). It's been fine since then, no seizure,
just buzzed up once in a while with the increase in medication.

The intended objective now, FD; Small Kitty is doing better then he used to, but it's
far from being perfect. He know how to get to green but goes back to high altitude
the minute that follow. Once Levemir is worn out, at the end of the cycle, the tank
is empty and it's only in the late cycle that the air-tanker will come back. Lantus was
good at bringing GL down right after take-off but Small Kitty will go up fast but now
it reverse. In a way I prefer this (better numbers at preshot), it's more encouraging
and testing like mad is useless.

That's it for now, will post later this week, I'm off until Wednesday. Go back to work
then and will be boarding a plane on Saterday heading for New York meeting my
dear Amanda for the first time. Cant's wait to see her, it's now been six month.
Thanks to FMDB for breaking up life as a single.

See you later, have a good week.

Sébastien

Sebastian how good to hear from you :bighug::bighug:

That is scary that your seizures are getting closer together. I do hope that the change in meds will help keep the seizures down to a minimum.

SK is not looking too bad overall. As you said the pattern is changed somewhat with using Levemir, but the fact that you are getting better preshot numbers shows that he is spending a decent amount of time in better numbers and at least you are able to see that he CAN get into the good numbers. FD is sometimes a long, long road but SK is far better off than when you first started and the scary DKA episode...that you handled superbly.

How exciting that you and Amanda are finally going to meet in person. I hope you two have a wonderful time together...you both deserve it. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

It's good to see a post from you. I'm sorry about your seizures. I hope the change in medication helps. Sending prayers.

I'm glad SK is doing pretty good overall. It's nice to see those lower numbers on his SS. How exciting you get to meet Amanda soon.

Your SS is definitely looking better, Sébastien. You've found a way to make Lev work for you and your complicated kitty - best case scenario. I'm sorry to learn of the recent struggle with seizures. That must be so very frightening and I hope the meds adjustment helps. Like many health issues, stress makes it worse I'm sure and having a diabetic kitty is stressful.

I hope you have a wonderful trip to New York with Amanda. :)

Hey Sebastien! Good to hear from you and sorry to hear about your cluster of seizures but, glad you had a med dose change that is keeping you safe.

Glad SK is doing better and nice to see a blue start for him.

Excitement is building with your upcoming trip to meet Amanda! :bighug:

Thanks to all of you for replying ! Yes, Small Kitty is a tricky one, HE is flying his airframe
and HE decides where he's heading. Think the Levemir fighters flying around make him
understand that lower altitude is where it's safe. Hopefully he will stop to be afraid of
landings. Glad his landing gears are solid no failure so far :).

Health is fine, think I just needed some rest. Went back to bed afer shot and just
waking up, on a Monday morning. Isn't good ? !!! :)

Thanks for worrying about me and Small Kitty who's feeling great,
(he's outside running around right now), so far so good !
