Note to any lurkers, I'm answering Judy's question in regards to acromegalic cats. Their pancreas is often already working, and doesn't need to heal.
This is where knowing thy cat comes into play. Neko was a little bouncier than Freckles. I had to find a dose where here nadirs were in the 70's in order to keep her under renal threshold overall. Sounds like you saw some glucose in the urine today? You also have to take into consideration the range of numbers where Freckles feels good and your ability to monitor should the dose take her lower. The only thing a little more green might do is get her used to lower numbers/less bouncy. You could try a 0.25 unit increase, and take the nadirs down a little bit and see what the cycles look like. Experiment, see what works best for you. Even though I targeted nadirs in the 70's, occasionally I'd back the dose off so I could either get some sleep or do something away from the house and know she'd be safe.
