Ginger is doing fine. We finally had some spring like weather today, and she is enjoying some time outdoors.
She has gained a little more weight (11lbs 3oz this morning) and does not have a ravenous appetite, but is eating most of the flavors I put before her. Yay. So, I think she may not have hyperT, but that T4 number of 2.9 haunts me as well as the vet saying she thinks she will go that way. I think I'm pretty concerned just from being a worrier.
I don't know how I got this shot, but she often takes food out of her bowl and carries it to a different place to eat it, and Jackson is starting to do it sometimes too.
Ginger still beats up Jackson pretty hard, but maybe it's just to show him who is The Queen. I do see them sleeping within inches of each other, and they did touch noses today, while out on a walk.
Jackson is weighing in at 8 pounds 4 ounces today, and is maturing a little bit. In that, I mean he is not playing as hard and running at 40 miles per hour, but seems to be settling down a bit and learning things.
Jackson still likes laying in Ginger's blankey.
And Ginger likes laying in her furs.
Jackson on the big lawn.
Sometimes he looks so big and long,
but then he transforms to still a kitten.
He can eat 1/2 can of FF in 6 seconds flat, just like J.D. could.
He really is a good boy, and I find joy and am proud of his learning.
I am still getting over the passing of J.D., but am doing a little itty bitty better every week, I guess. It was 5 months yesterday, and my vet said on that day that it could take 6 months or longer. At least I have my two kitties to bring me smiles. I still miss J.D.'s cuddling and warmth and purrs when I go to sleep at night though. They just don't quite take J.D.'s place, but they are there and keep me going.
