I have a fur shot curse. It is like I have a brain block and can't seem to get the insulin into him. I mean really? Three in less than a week? :eek: :banghead: OMG. I just want to cry.

Thanks Carla:bighug:. It is just so frustrating. And poor Gizmo - I am sure he thinks I am crazy. These last two were not even his fault - all on me - just missed completely. I wasn't even sure until his next cycle numbers that I actually missed. :arghh::facepalm:
 
When I'd do FS, they all happened in a short period of time. It's like after we do one, we can't get it right for a bit because our confidence goes down. At times after a FS I felt very shaky giving shots which is silly. Love his Gizmo's picture...give him belly rubies for me. He's looking great!
 
Sorry to hear about all the fur shot's. It can be so strange. I'll just be cruising along thinking everything is going great and then I'll go into a period of time where I get psyched out about my technique and everything will feel totally foreign as if I'm injecting for the first time. It's very strange. Maybe there is meditation or mantra I can find to empty the mind of all apprehension or past fur shot memories. I'll let you know if I figure it out!
Gizmo will be fine though :bighug:

You don't know how much better that makes me feel. That is exactly what happens to me. What the heck is that anyway? :p The absolute strangest thing that happened was drawing insulin after I got new contacts. They were just a tiny bit different than what I had been wearing (not as strong) - but they are for distance and I use the head magnifier to draw the dose anyway. Even the syringe felt wrong. I had to get a brand new, unopened package and use a syringe from it - just to make sure I wasn't crazy - lol.

I do try and settle myself and Gizmo for about 15-30 seconds before I shoot. Just to calm both of us. Usually the fur shots happens when I don't take that little bit of time. I give him a few scratches under his chin and a kiss on the head and take a couple of good, deep breathes for myself.
