Thanks. You too! They say the sun will be out this afternoon and beautiful tomorrow. Happy Easter if you celebrate. It’s not my holiday.

work got bananas, so i have big gaps in posting
Lando had another bout of inappetence, so cerenia to the rescue again!
Caused his numbers to go from 120s to 140s
Gonna hold with daily cerenia for another week before considering back to .1u
Hi have you tried Odanestron with Lando in addition to Cerenia? I finally started giving Mac Odanestron 2mg x3 times/day + Cyproheptadine 1/8 of a 4mg tab (appetite stimulant) (thank you @tiffmaxee ) and it has done the trick on getting him to eat regularly. Still give Cerenia too. I like Cyproheptadine better than Mirtzapine because he isn't as yowly.

i resisted adding the full dose of Odanestron but so glad I did!

PS I know the backstory on LC Dry for Lando, but if you could ever get him to totally LC wet I am pretty sure you could get him OTJ.. He was so close for so long!

Good Luck! Thinking of both of you!

Thank you Jill, what a nice post! Yes Elise also suggested Ondan for Lando and for some reason my vet was so reluctant to rx it that i gave up after one week trial of $60 injections. Maybe its worth another round? Another member is also getting me to rethink home made food again too.

luckily, when Lando is on daily cerenia, he seems like his ol self and has zero problems. Soo…. Maybe that means daily cerenia forever. ( shrug)

You don’t want injections. You want the ondansetron pills. How would your vet respond to literature from well thought of veterinarians on the use of ondansetron? It’s what helped Max.

The odanestron pills are cheap in my opinion. Checkout on Allivet. Your vet still needs to approve. Yes I think Cerenia will be there forever in maintenance mode but odanestron works on nausea better they say. Also Lando May be up for trying more variety of foods if his nausea is controlled better.

hugs and good good luck!

He might be open to it. I know when i tried the ondan topic last it was at the height of the pandemic. I am pretty sure my vet and the staff were overworked and not treated well. Now might be a better time

I used to buy online and at Costco. I used Good RX for pricing. I bought 4 or 8 mg pills and cut them.
