I think you did the right thing to increase to 7.
Good luck with the new dose. I hope you see more yellows and blues on this dose.

Zobaline didn't do much for J.D. either. I gave him 1 a day.

I'm glad to see you went up .5U Anna. At this point (above 5U), I would always go up by .5U unless you are seeing green. Love the more yellow, but let's see some blue now Bailey!

thanks for the reassurance and support. hes not been brilliant today and numbers are high but we'll keep going! its been a bit of light at the end of the tunnel those few yellows the last couple of days.lets see what this dose brings!

Hi Anna,

How many days has Baily been taking Zobaline now? Is he dragging his behind, standing on his haunches?

I do give it to Rocky 2x a day. I mix it into his first morning mini-meal and his first evening mini-meal. Any excess Vitamin B12 that your cat doesn't need he will pee out of his body, just like we humans do. :-D

I haven't had to deal with the neuropathy with China, but I know the Zolabine can take months to work. How long has Baily been on it? It may just need more time, but it's also totally safe to give more than once/day if you want to

Hopefully you'll see some better numbers soon! I'm sure you're pretty sick of stinky pinkies!

Ugh! Anna, I feel for you with these numbers at the dose you're at! Cobb and I know how rough this is for you and Bailey!

You are doing a great job though! I know you're tired of those stinky pinks!!

Stick with it! Good luck with the dosecrease. Come on Bailey, work the extra juice! The lower floors, especially the blue and green floor, are much cooler.

hes been on zobaline a few months now.yeah hes just walking on his hocks.he still manages to jump on my bed and window sills though but horrible to see him truggling! with him being a big boy il up his zobaline to twice a day then.yeah I just mix it in his food too.
weve had a really low yellow before pre shot but hes not wanted to eat much this morning so that will be why! I just want him better :-(

Hi Anna,

I'm wondering if it's possible that Bailey also has low potassium? (When cats pee a lot they can lose too much potassium from the system). This can also cause muscle weakness that can look similar to diabetic neuropathy.

If he does have low potassium then it's possible to give supplements to correct it.

I would not rely on Tina's overall idea -- you don't know how much methyl B-12 she's giving vs how much you're giving. Perhaps she can clarify the amount. While excess B vitamins can be excreted, that doesn't mean you can't give too much. The methyl B-12 will help more once Bailey's numbers are consistently in a better range. And, as others noted, it takes several months to work.

thanks sienne.you never know whether you are doing the right thing or not do you? even though ive upped his dose.hes higher than when he was on 6.5 so now im thinking should I have stayed at 6.5u.its soooo tough all this :-(
