A little high this morning, got pretty close to being a blue. Not sure if he had leftover food from last night that he ate earlier or if he maybe found something in the floor. Not what I was wanting to see on his day 7.
I tested 4 times just to be sure because the first 2 strips didn't suck up all the blood at once so I thought maybe that was showing an incorrect reading, but then I grabbed more blood for 2 more tests and indeed he was a bit high.
I'll maybe grab a couple extra tests today to see how he's doing and if he drops for me. Doing well other than that, big appetite. Also, one of his ear stitches fell out when I was putting on some ointment yesterday. His skin looks healed but all lumpy and bumpy, hopefully it'll smooth out as it heals.
I feel like the stitching job they did could've been better, he has like a lump on his leg where they stitched. Like, it was a rushed job, feel like they don't care about the general appearance of it since he's a cat.
Also, they could've cleaned off all the blood so it didn't become caked up and dry like it is now which is why the stitches are having trouble falling out. It's been difficult to clean it all this time because so much was just left to dry up and it's been sore of course so it couldn't just be rubbed and washed constantly. It's definitely not all just scabs, it was obviously mostly dried blood caked on.
I saw pictures of ear removal stitches and every photo I saw the stitching looks nice and neat and the healed ear looks smooth. I guess I'm just complaining about something unimportant, they went to college for many years to get their degree and be properly trained so I'm sure they did the best to their ability.
Hope everybody has a great day.
