nice blue this morning :cool::cool::eek::eek:
Bubba taking his time with the re-do dose of 7U... let's see how today goes. I'm at work, so my mom will be testing Bubba q3h today (or more if Bubba is heading towards lower greens) to ensure we don't get any limes and to feed small spoonful's of food to ensure he doesn't drop too fast either.

Other than a yellow BG shortly after Bubbas PM shot yesterday, he’s been in the blues since yesterday morning. Was hoping he was stay but I guess his pancreas has other plans! 15.8 at +6.5 today.
 
Well that's a super gross PMPS 24.9mmol / 448.... homeboy must have dippity dipped late last night/early morning to warrant such a spike this evening :blackeye::(:nailbiting:o_O:banghead:

tonight's shot is 5 days / the 10th cycle on 7U.. not sure if I want to increase, or leave it be and hopefully Bubba sorts himself out in the next few days / settles down from this bing bong boing of a bla bla bounce

There hasn't been any greens spotted at this dose. Doses with blue nadirs are held 6-10 cycles. Today is cycle 10. Unless this is the high before the low tonight, I think you are good to increase tomorrow. He's had plenty of time on this dose to show if he can find the greens.

Thank you Wendy. Would you recommend increasing by 0.5U?
Also, my vet's office said that since the buprenorphine used for cats is sublingual, it's therefore specially formulated, so I can only purchase it through them :blackeye: I'm going to confirm with my vet at our appointment next week so see what alternatives there are - there has to be something!
 
Yes, the increase would be 0.5 units.

Neko's bupe was sublinqual and I got it from the compounding pharmacy. They can do the special formulating and a choice of cat approved flavours. And probably have a better lab than your vet. ;) Your vet is wrong. You do want to deal with a compounding pharmacy that has a veterinary division, not all do. I've been dealing with the same pharmacy for over 10 years, different meds - sublinqual, flavoured liquid formula, meds in tasty chew treats, you name it.

Boy oh boy I am beyond exhausted trying to regulate this silly boy of mine; it's a privilege to provide care for him and he's made some great progress since we re-started lantus Jan 5, but I feel like the back and forth is never ending! :rolleyes::rolleyes:o_Oo_O
