Good Morning !
Salems sugar is ok . He did go up in that lemon tree last night ..but not holding in the greens ?
Do yall notice when your pen gets low almost gone that it doesnt act like it works as well ?
when i draw salems insulin into the needle i always push it back up in the pen after drawing it down to get air bubbles out Of the syringe . It says not to do that Because silicone goes into the pen from the syringe . But think about it you shot it into your cat so its going to get silicone into your cat ? So what's the difference ? But im wondering if when it gets low does it make the insulin less Potent ?
Is the insulin no good anymore or not as strong ? Its barely any in it but i dnt like wasting insulin .
Im going to open the new pen tonight . My last pen . I hope i cam get dome more insulin . Im hearing people talk about a shortage in insulin in Canada ? Im not sure about in the USA .

Off The pen is kept in fridge, it should be good to last drop.

As far as the silicone, I don't know. Before I knew not to shoot excess back into pen, I did. The pen got the floating silver bubbles. Now if that was silicone binding the insulin I don't know.

This is from the Sticky for Insulin Care:

"Do not inject air into cartridges or pens. Cartridges and pens are designed to work on a negative pressure principle."

You don't want to mess up the pressure in your pen by pushing insulin back into the pen.

I hope Salem slides down today.

Yeah thats where i found the information on the pen . Before salem came hime they never mentioned anything about not pushing the insulin back in the pen . they inky said to thump thr syringe if its git air bubbles in it when i asked about air bubbles . And there written instructions mentioned to push the insulin back up into the pen too if it had bubbles or air pockets. Thats when i started noticing the pen wasnt working as well close to the end before it was empty .. thanks !
