Hope you get answers quickly. I do maintenance now on Tripper and Olive. I clean their ears (actually just did Ollie, used 10 q-tips) and use Zymox drops, the non steroid ones.

Thanks, Nelli was on the non hydrocortisone Zymox plus for three days- then vet flushed her ears (dang vet)... got on phone with Zymox, told to give a bit longer & don’t flush ears!
Put her back on for 5 days then (dang vet!) flushed her ears again. This was last Tuesday and on this day too, a culture sample was taken.
I have not put her back on Zymox- waiting for culture results. Hopefully by Tuesday.

Hopefully the culture will point you in the right direction.

Now with the zymox, it says do not clean ears before or during use. Use 7 days or 14 days for chronic infections. And safe for extended use. Once treatment is finished I clean the external ear with qtip making sure I get in the folds as that is where most gunk accumulates. I do it once a month and I get a lot of potatoes as they say.
