Last Night:
222 PMPS
340 +2.25
145 +10.25

Good morning, or almost afternoon  I slept in and have been getting a little bit of work done at home.
J.D. ate pretty good last night, but hasn't eaten much this morning. It could be because of the lower numbers. I did tell him to eat some food at +5 and he went to his bowl and ate, a bit.
His tummy was making noises this morning, and he ate some grass outside on our walk, but did not throw up.
I did give the Pepcid too late again this morning. At +10.25 (4:00am), I tested him and then he threw up bile, so I gave him some Pepcid then. I wonder if giving it at PMPS would help. Anyway, he doesn't throw up bile all the time, I think it's just when he doesn't eat over night and his tummy is empty in the morning.

It is a lovely spring day here, the windows are open, the heat is off for a while, and maybe I'll start setting up the planters that go over the railings on my deck.

Re: 04/12 J.D. AMPS 153, +2.75 122, +4 83, +5 50, +5.5 60

J.D. is celebrating Spring with a visit to the lagoon, I see! Are you sure the low numbers aren't because of his not eating much, instead of the other way around? I mean, if they don't eat much but get their shot, I'd think that would drop the BG more.

In any case, It's nice to see some green on his chart after some of his numbers lately. Surf safely, J.D.!

Re: 04/12 J.D. +6 46, +6.5 41, +7 44, +8 66

He was holding out for shrimp. He ate 4 and 1/2 large shrimp between +5 and +6.5, but only ate a bite here and there of regular cat food. He and Ginger finally shared 3/4 can of MC FF Medleys and then followed that up with some LC at +7. He and Ginger have been sleeping all curled up in the big doggy bed (with their arms wrapped around each other) for the past hour digesting.

Whoa there JD! No more 40s and time to surf in the 60s!!

Dyana.....it's very common for kitties with acid tummies to get sick in the mornings because, as you said, they have no food in their tummies over night to absorb the acid. It's a really good idea to give him 1/4 pepcid ac (10 mg) at bedtime. I wouldn't give it at PMPS. It will be more effective if you give it at bedtime. Of course, if you feel he needs it twice a day, that could be a potential problem because you aren't there in the mornings 12 hours after you last gave it so I know you have to find a way to do it around your schedule.

Have a relaxing day.

Re: 04/12 J.D. +6 46, +6.5 41, +7 44, +8 66, +9 80

The best I can do is PM +2 as that is bedtime.

Re: 04/12 J.D. +6 46, +6.5 41, +7 44, +8 66, +9 80

I think any time that moves it closer to bedtime is good and should help. Hopefully, the effects would last for 12 hours so you would see less bile in the a.m. Hopefully.

Re: 04/12 J.D. +9 80, PMPS 272

J.D. just ate 1/2 can of FF Chunky Chicken which is 1st Dinner and 2nd Dinner combined all in one sitting.

Jersey kept me awfully busy this week, so I apologize if I missed this in one of your condos - what was the winning name for the colt? They were supposed to announce it this past Monday, right?

Shelly
They announced the name on Tuesday. The winner was New Bolton Pioneer or Boone as his nickname. I think he was the first horse made by putting a sperm with an egg and implanting it into a 3rd horse's uterous. I guess they do that with humans all the time. All I now is that the stallion was long passed, and now his legacy can still live on.

J.D. ate all that food and then went to bed.
When I moved in 11 years ago, I took down all the curtains, and tacked up a "temporary" pretty shower curtain on my bedroom window that fit perfectly and went really well with the "decor" or colors of the room. Today, I got out another tack and pulled a corner of the shower curtain to the other side and tacked it up to let some sunshine on the bed, and J.D. slept there in the sunshine all stretched out. I would think he appreciated it :)

Off to the grocery store. Tomorrow is tbp..

Re: 04/12 J.D. +9 80, PMPS 272

Wow, J.D. was really on a mission today! It's nice to see such good numbers today. Paws crossed that the bounce doesn't take him too high or last too long. I'm sending healing vines for the tummy issues.

"Boone" isn't a bad nickname. I liked "Stellar" too, though!

Have a great night, Dyana!

J.D. is being an eating machine again tonight.
I got him up from the bedroom to eat, at +2 when I got home from the grocery store and he ate all that food and is now cleaning up some left overs that he wouldn't eat during the day.

Ginger is outside for a few minutes more as there is a hint of light left in the sky, then it's bed for all of us.

Sorry, I didn't get to many condos today. I did make a dent in the house work and spring cleaning today, and that was good.

Hi Dyana,
I'm so happy to read the J.D. is eating well this evening! :-D
And wow on the AM cycle!
J.D. is a smart boy to be holding out for his shrimpies, but eat a little bit of his regular food too to make his bean shut up.
I hope the new Pepcid schedule will help with his tummy acid problem.
