Thomas isn't drooling much anymore which is good. Just a little, mainly when he rests his face on the side where he had surgery. It's nice not having stinky spit thrown all over me when he shakes his head in the cone. Fur is growing in fairly well, scabs are slowly being pushed up from the fur and falling off. Stitches are still in so still wearing the cone. I'll have to take some pictures and upload them soon.
 
That's good news on the drool!

Here's a thought: I wonder if it's just a weird reaction to having to wear the cone? Like, I don't know, the cone distracts him and he just sort of loses track of things like drool if he's having a sleepy day or whatever. Or it's too much trouble to shift positions to deal with it when he's lying on that side...
