Butters & Lyla

Yesterday got home from ER around PM+6.5 I think. Fed her 2 tsp of shredded chicken each hour. I put the +10 and +11 in her autofeeder so I could sleep a little. She parked herself right next to it, which she never does, and she kept trying to break into it. I heard her banging on it with her paws:cat:.
Literally taking this as a sign of Jax's spirit.
Jax's spirit is very, very strong here!:cat:

Today, I'm continuing bupe and will give her a cerenia pill this evening. She has been eating all of her snacks today and looks better. She isn't moving much at all. But I'd say she is not so much lethargic as high on bupe.

Thank you again for the help and support for us yesterday. It means so much to us both:bighug:.

Surf safely, kitties:cat:

I am so glad to hear that Butters is home and eating up a storm. You both must be tired. Hope the flare passes quickly and she starts being her normal self again. :bighug:

Oh no... Butters went to the ER? I missed that. So sorry. Pancreatitis flare? There must be something good going on though if she's trying to break into the auto feeder!

Are you going to continue the Cerenia orally? Praying Butters will be feeling better soon!

Just read about last night, I'm glad she's home and has been eating for you.
If it's not one thing it's another. I'm so sad when I read about so many kitties not feeling well.
Jesus just give these kitties a dam break
Sending prayers she continues to eat and is not in pain ♥:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hurray! I love this ❤️
banging on it with her paws:cat:
Soooo, Jax respected his auto-feeder and was not a food burglar. He did worship it by sitting-up sleeping by it though (because his bed was two feet away and that wasn't close enough :joyful:). Respect the auto-feeder, Butters :cat:

I hope Butters has come down from her bupe-wall-staring (that cracked me up) and is feeling okay. Hugs to you mama bean :bighug:

Just saw this post. Butters and Fred must be in tune! :rolleyes: I'm so sorry to hear she had a flare. I'm so glad she's home and doing better.

As for the auto-feeder..oh, yes. We've been there. ;-) Fred would just lift the whole thing up with his paw and let it bang down. (Still does..and this is always in the middle of the night!) I finally put a folded bath towel underneath....at least I can sometimes sleep through it!

All good thoughts for a quick recovery and a strong auto-feeder. ;-)

Hi Lyla, I didn't know Butters (and you) went through all that drama and scariness yesterday. I am so sorry. I've been through the pancreatitis scare although it was a first for Dolly, positive SNAP test but negative ultrasound. I have to admit you made me laugh a few times, picturing her trying to break into her feeder, banging on it :woot::woot: and then your description of a stoned Butters with a big grin and staring at the wall :p:D. Sorry it was at her expense but it did put a wonderfully funny couple of pictures/videos in my head, please thank Butters for me :bighug::bighug::kiss::kiss:. I hope she is doing better now, she obviously gets the munchies from narcotics, eating all of her snacks. I hope the seizures have improved as well. Looks like Jax is keeping a close eye while she is impaired o_O

Take good care you two. Butters feel better, this certainly hasn't affected your numbers, good job. Let your mom get some rest and don't rearrange the furniture.:rolleyes:
Sending big hugs :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh no Lyla, so sorry to see about the ER visit. Not a nice evening. I hope you guys get some rest and recover soon from the ordeal :bighug:

Suspected pancreatitis flare. I was trying to treat her at home with the meds her vet gave me, but after she vomited them up twice, thought it best to get her injectable cerenia and also make sure she wasn't getting dehydrated. There was a lot of vomit yesterday.
She was examined at the ER. They found her tummy was very tense and painful, and she was lethargic. IDK exactly what else they did when they had her in there for so long. She wasn't dehydrated. They didn't do a snap test. In the end, they just gave her the cerenia injection and sent her back out to the car.
I am continuing with cerenia and bupe. I gave her the cerenia an hour ago and thankfully it has stayed down along with her dinner.

something good going on though if she's trying to break into the auto feeder
Definitely a good sign! I was annoyed but happy all at the same time.

Oh goodness. That's kind of hilarious. Butters hasn't gone that far...yet. I have the autofeeder on a towel on my bed, and it still woke me with all of her banging.

Lol Jax. The photo of him next to the autofeeder makes me laugh. Like he is guarding it. I don't think Butters knows the sit sleep move. I guess the problem is it is on my bed, which she thinks is her bed. So she curled up next to it, but then every two minutes, decided to stand up and knock it with her paws. I think the burgling part was because of the drugs, though. A bad case of the munchies.
It made me laugh that Butters has a big grin on her face.

I am going to sound like a terrible mom but I burst out laughing when I actually saw the look on her face, with this ginormous grin, and she was just staring at the wall like it was the greatest entertainment ever. I'm glad she made both of you laugh as well.:bighug:

Oh dear, just catching up on your drama but enjoying the cat burglar images. Is she called Butters because butter wouldn't melt in her mouth??!

DK exactly what else they did when they had her in there for so long.
I sometimes think they just leave you to wait a while so you think it justifies some of the cost!

Take care. :bighug::bighug:

Fred has only had bupe maybe twice, after tooth extractions. He becomes a COMPLETE nutball. He's like, "I love YOU, and I love YOU, and OMG YOU are AMAZING...and this floor is AMAZING and I can ROLL on it...and I don't know who you are but you are AMAZING..." etc. ;-) And then he wants to eat, eat eat.

Hope Butters is feeling better this morning!
