Hey guys,
I’ve had Mowgli on 1.25u lantus and a full wet food diet for the past week. I have noticed a step down in his AMPS/PMPS readings but his hourly tests are still averaging around 12mmol/L.
I will be doing somewhat of a curve today although I’ve already missed the +2. +4 was 15.7mmol/L leading me to believe that his AMPS of 13.1 could have been a false reading.
Based on the data that I was able to gather this week should I try another week on 1.25u or should I do an increase?
As some of you might remember, I tried mowgli on 1.5u last week (rushed it
) and his Nadir was at 4.4mmol/L so I’m wondering if that is just too much for him, or could it just have been too quick an increase in dosage for him at the time and now that he’s been on 1.25u for a week he’s ready for 1.5u?
I know this is a marathon not a sprint, but I believe Mowgli went a long time before being diagnosed so I want to get him into a safer range of numbers sooner than later.
That being said: I do see an improvement in him since he arrived so that’s a relief.

, so no guarantees he will do the same thing twice.
