Was finally able to get a curve done every 3 hours to see where Jasmine is at. She is only receiving a few drops at insulin time now, it is hard to measure exactly how many drops she is getting. I still get scared at her lowest points.

hi jodi. thanks for getting some spot checks! will you please do us a favor by marking the times jasmine is fed with an asterisk on her spreadsheet? just trying to figure out those higher numbers...

Hi Jill,

Sure I will make a note on the SS of Jasmine's feeding times. Usually how it works, she eats at 5 am with her morning insulin and she eats at 5 pm with her evening insulin. And then I feed her 4 to 6 hours in between her shots. For example, this morning she ate again at 10:30 am. This evening she will eat between 9 - 11 pm. She eats 4 times a day, 1/3 of a can of canned DM each time. Thanks for all your help.

Nice to see another Canucks on the board.
I see that your brain is still programed with caninsulin... not the same with Lantus :lol:
I don't want to interfere with Jill's information (she's top notch in that matter), but we have found that with Lantus mini meals are a very good way to go (vs fewer larger meals).

Thumbs up for getting a few spot checks in... could you add a few more in the evening. Our preferred one, other than the one with insulin, is the one before your bed time.

I do certainly need to get more evening checks in. This evening at +6 she was at 55.8 and then she ate. I'm not sure how to feed Jasmine differently with more smaller meals because of my schedule. And if I leave smaller amounts around for her she guzzles it up as quick as I put it out for her. I am hoping tomorrow I can get some more spot checks to really see where Jasmine is at. So hard to determine because she is at the point with insulin that I can't really measure how many drops she is actually getting. I am guessing just a couple of drops is all.
