Wow, I was not expecting that 158 this morning! :( I wonder if his teeth are bothering him? I think he is having more difficulty chewing, but this could also be me seeing things to fit my imaginings, too. o_O

Prayers and healing vines for all those who need them.

If the food you gave him for dinner yesterday raised his numbers, they could possibly be a little higher this morning. I wouldn't worry about one number. He'll come back down. :bighug:

I really hope that's all it is! He's been doing so well, I hate to see him get "derailed". But he seems pretty happy today, so hopefully it is a passing thing caused by last night's food!:bighug:

Perhaps "dawn phenomenon". Not to worry. Look at his later numbers.

Lookin' good, Deputy Squallie. Good way to start the day at the lagoon, too: looking over the whole thing with the binoculars.

It's weird, I know, but I still have this knee-jerk reaction left over from when we were using Vetsulin; he'd be low for a week or so, then his numbers would inexplicably shoot up and I'd spend months chasing them, trying to get them back down. It was so frustrating and disappointing. You'd think I'd have gotten beyond that, it's never happened since he's been on Lantus!o_O

He is adorable - unfortunately, he's not eating this am, and blood sugar diving so he has gotten some karo syrup - I need to leave soon to go to the hospital to see my Mom (she was approved for hospice last night) Ugh - I need Murphy to behave for me

I'm so sorry to hear your Mom is ill, Carol. I know hospice can be a great help, they helped my family in the last week of my husband's battle with cancer.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Sometimes it seems like our kitties just wait to drop till they know we need to leave! Glad to see Murphy came back up quickly. :)

Murphy, you gotz to eatz da fudz, buddy, soz you can stayz away from da sharkz!!! :cat:
