J.D. ate at AMPS, and we went back to bed.
He ate some FF with a couple of illegal treats at +5.
He just ate some Friskies SD Turkey & Giblets at +6.5.

It's another dreary day here in New Jersey. Makes my saddness show. I still haven't heard back from my Brother-In-Law on when would be the best time for a visit in Oregon. Today, is laundry and grocery shopping and house cleaning day (my only day off this week).

From Yesterday's Condo:

i've wondered about kitty grass - what do you get and where do you get it? my kittens, especially Frodo, eat my plants. little buggers. i brought a boston fern home over spring break because i didn't want to leave it at the school the whole week and even though i tried to keep it in impossible places, the poor thing went back to school looking like a cat had eaten it! :shock: which it did! :lol: maybe grass would be a substitute.

I've very often called my cats cows as they like to go outside and graze. And they will graze and graze and graze, and not throw up normally. If one of them has an upset tummy, I think they choose a certain blade of grass that will make them throw up, but they only do that occasionally and I think it is intentional when they have an upset tummy. Ginger has a sensitive tummy and will let me know that she needs to go outside and eat grass now! by screaming, loudly, even at 2:00am. If I don't let her out, she will attack my house plants (which I don't have many of), but she feels a strong need to throw up sometimes. But it's not super often. J.D. looks like a Holstein cow with the white body with black spots and Ginger is is uh one of those Calicows :lol:
I buy these cat grass seeds and grow them during the winter when the grass outside is dorment, and when leaving Ginger at home when J.D. and I go on vacations. I just take a pot with soil, and wet the soil well, scrap back about 3/4 inch of the top soil, throw in a couple hundred seeds, and spread the top soil back on top. Add a light cover (like I used bubble wrap this time, but have used a frizzbee or a gallon sized zip lock baggie) over the top and in about 3 days the see will start sprouting. In about 3 more days, take the cover off as the grass will be about 2 inches high by then, and they will grow fast, and the cats just love to have some grass to nibble on, and prefer it to house plants.

What a great flat cycle for JD today! :mrgreen: My Holstein cat likes to eat outdoor grass and won't touch the stuff I grow inside for the civie. :roll: I get my grass seeds from the local pet store, soak them 6 hours before planting and just grow them in a pot on the kitchen window uncovered, but mist them every day.

He's eating some more Friskies now. I think it's because I put him in front of the bowl, but hope that he eats all by himself when I'm not home.

Dyana, nice numbers for JD today.
Thanks for the info on the seeds. I might have to try this since my non-diabetic guy likes to eat my 2 ferns when I bring them in for the winter. I have to raise them almost to the ceiling so he can't reach the fronds from the back of the couch. He never swallowed any because I would find little pieces of saliva coated leaves all over the carpet. Now all he can do is sit there and look up at them wondering what his plan is going to be.:smile:

We had a tiny bit of sun peek in now and then during the day, but gray and windy and cold most of the day. We did get out for a nice walk.

J.D. just ate his 1st Dinner and is settling into his big doggy bed to digest.

thanks for the info about the cat grass - i'll have to get some of that for my cows, too! :lol: McGee looks like JD's brother, of course, *mooooo* hahahahaha

are you friends with your nieces on facebook? that's how i find out what my kids are up to - they tell all there long before they tell me. you might be able to chat with them on your days off, or at least to find out when you could come visit.

Nice numbers for J.D. today. That's not a bad PMPS either. Thanks for the info. on the cat grass. I just bought those exact seeds to try for my kitties.

What a pretty cycle today for J.D. I'm so happy to see it!

I've missed the past several days of condos, so forgive me if you already mentioned this - did they ever finish voting for the name of the new colt? I'm just curious!

Thanks for remembering. Yes, I voted for the name of Stellar. They will tally the votes on Monday.

305 is a slow rise, so no R tonight. J.D. had 3 Dinners, and it's past bedtime, and I have to work early tomorrow.
