@tiffmaxee Hi Elise, I am going crazy with Dolly’s numbers today. Maybe a fur shot??? I stopped the antibiotic because no change and she’d be off all night, lethargic not eating great, my last dose was Saturday. She was much more Dolly last night. At the end of her Lantus pen, it’s at the 40 mark. I know there are several does left. Doesn’t look cloudy or anything but I have 3 new pens, what do you think? Could her insulin be bad? I know I probably sound nuts but don’t like these numbers today and they have been weird for several days. Need help.

Thank you Adrienne :bighug::bighug::bighug: How are you? And Rob? Hope Dolly feels better :cat: (and just saw you post abut Dolly's numbers - maybe an FS - did you all smell insulin on her? It's more than likely not your pen - I used mine to the very last drop :bighug::bighug::bighug:) Hang in there mama :bighug:

Also, I got this tag! Hurray!

Thanks Susanne. I just thought to smell her but she’s not having it. When I test her now she always gets neck and head kisses, I think I would have smelled it then. My poor husband, he gave one fur shot and I would instantly start smelling her back after every shot. :woot::woot: I finally stopped. Rob and I are managing, thank you for asking. It’s hard not having a driver in the house. Have to ask my daughter if we need anything, have to go anywhere. My current limitations, feeling so dependent on others is not who I am and although I am very grateful for all that I have it bothers me a lot. :mad::mad:Enough of that. I hope you and your family (Benji of course) are doing well. I know well the pain of losing a pet, they become so much a part of you. Jax was loved by all of us and will be very missed. I am so deeply sad for your loss of this special kitty. This is a wonderful place with friends you will probably never meet in person but some of the most wonderful friends you could ever ask for, friends like you. Take good care Susanne :bighug::bighug::bighug: Extra hugs to Benji from Dolly :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I don't think Dolly's number look all that bad...maybe she's just having an off day or three...a few blues tossed in from time to time just to let you know that her pancreas is a little tired of contributing and is relaxing a bit.

You may want to consider a slight increase, but I'd leave well enough alone for now myself.

I'm sorry you're chaffing at being so depending on others for everything...but you'll heal and you need to take the time to allow others to help. I hear you on your discomfort - but honey it is what it is...try to be patient with yourself, Dolly and we'll all be sending you get well wishes along the way!

Each day is a blessing! Find the bright spots on focus on them...only 24 hours per :) Sending you sunshine and warm breezes!:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks Sue. The whole thing is just getting old. :banghead::banghead: I am very grateful for my husband, he’s doing everything, hard to believe I was just taking care of him. Dolly, laundry, cooking from scratch cooking, soup, stew, chicken, ribs, everything yummy. So grateful for my wonderful daughter, doing so much for us. I am so grateful to you for letting me know how much you care. Grateful to FD and all the beautiful people that have become part of my life. Patience, not familiar with that word :facepalm:. I have become a procrastinator about making appointments, everything to me is just too difficult, being in pain gets in my way. For a change I got to sit on my pity pot, :oops: I apologize, I’ll get up now. Thanks for being a good friend. Hope you got through your dental and Luci’s inconvenient but beautiful numbers without too much stress :nailbiting::nailbiting:. Have a wonderful evening and hope the dentist was kind to both of you, not too much trauma to yours or DH’s mouth. Hope he is continuing to improve. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
Thank you Carla for always thinking of us. :):) I was just going through your profile, I didn’t pickup until now how long you have been on this journey with Furball. I didn’t see Furball’s age. Maybe I could learn that word “patience” from you. I just want you to know once again, your posts, no matter what they say, always bring a smile to my face. Thank you and Furball, surf safely, stay healthy and be a good girl for your mom. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Adrienne, maybe Dolly is just having an off day, Slide in down there Dolly Girl.
I hope you aren't in that much pain Adrienne ♥:bighug::bighug::bighug:
Thanks Diane. She just had a PMPS 97o_O. We started her on a new pen tonight. I never even thought about my husband preparing her syringe, I tested and filled her syringe, he gave the injection. We were trained at the vet at diagnosis to roll the pen to warm it before each shot. I did this for 3+ months up to remission. Post remission her insulin had expired, year plus since first dose. I learned in the interim not to roll, shake etc. I don’t think I told my husband. When I went into the hospital he was on his own to test feed shoot. Shoot was all he had been doing. He just asked me something as he rolled her pen and just decided to toss and start fresh. Maybe, maybe not the reason for her wonky numbers. Sorry I “blab” :D so much. You and Tyler have a great night. Thanks for visiting and listening to me go on and on. :woot::woot:
