Yesterday's condo:

I got back from trying to do some volunteer work at the Forney, TX site (one of the areas that got hit by a tornado yesterday), only to get turned away. I was told to come back at 11:30 for the 12:00 orientation, and volunteer work. It was 10:30 when I got there, and was told that the 10:30 slot was full. Unfortunately, I had only my driver's license with me, and not any cash, or cards to go and have a coffee and a snack (there were some restaurants close by that area). So, I headed back 35 minutes to home. I'm tired. I did have a good intention, but I'm not about to drive back another 35 minutes to see if I can volunteer again.
Last night, I kept watching the storm, and kept praying to the good Lord to help weaken them. I think He heard me as we only received pea sized hail, gusty winds, and a good amount of rain (not the flooding kind). I had 3 radars up, and both tvs going. This same thing happened last year about this time, too. I have a feeling that this will be another repeat of last. I can only hope that I'm wrong.
MY WISH: For God to help those ailing make a full and speedy recovery... For God to help those who have gone through the tornados yesterday get their lives back on track soon... For God to help heal the broken hearts of those who lost a beloved pet and/or human... For everyone to have great #s... For everyone to be OTJ.
