I am kinda nervous at the lack of movement. Any insight? I posted this last night...

Wondering if it is because he is eating more quantity (carb % is the same supposedly/4%) or maybe the AB shot or a a bit of toxicity?

Vet visit appt @ 10a for follow up BW to check potassium, phos and anemia (it may end up just being a full panel if it is cheaper, if they do a full panel it will be sent out).

Sending good vetty vines. I'm not sure about his BG. I wonder if he's going lower mid cycle and bouncing? Hopefully this weekend you can figure that out. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Unfortunately with the vet visit that will mean he will be high the rest of today. I will just keep increasing until I see movement. It could be the different protein I guess. I have no idea. I am curious if the quantity of food intake has an impact because that has definitely increased - lol. And then there is the AB shot which lasts 2 weeks . I just hope it isn't the start of resistance.

Vetty vines for Gizmo. I think the quantity has a impact. If Jones eats a bunch right away his +2/+3 jumps a lot...if he eats a little bit....not as much.

I am kinda of thinking all carbs are not created equally. Carbs from plants are not the same as carbs from protein. I don't think all protein carbs are created equally either. Complex game this is.

We are back. It wasn't pretty. There was blood and not just his in the tube or mine from where he bit through the muzzle and into my arm but also the vet tech got swatted pretty good

He is well hydrated. Heart murmur was remarkably better today.

Dr. C even commented what I had posted yesterday about him feeling bulkier and stronger. Per their scales his weight is the same but it was a different set of scales so here is probably a little variance.

Super Chem + and urinalysis sent out to lab. Should have report on Monday.

I see movement!

Oh how horrible about the bite you received. Please take extra care with that. Apparently, Gizmo has a lot of spunk! Both my boys just freeze at the vet.

Please take extra care with that.
We cleaned it there with alcohol and they bandaged it up and then I scrubbed it with antibacterial soap when I got home and put Neosporin with pain relief on it. It will bruise. I can tell. He got a good hold of me several times and the last one he wasn't letting go. He got all the way to the muscle.

I warned them. They hadn't seen him "healthy". He earned a big "A" sticker on his chart.

Oh my!
Time for Ledum for Lizzie!:blackeye:
Do u have that homeopathic at home?
Nope. No clue what that is. Last time this happened (old vet) the gave me a female douche to use to rinse it out with - don't know why or what it does, I just rinsed it well with it when I got home.

Sorry you got bit. I hope it heals quickly. If you have any saline rinse, you can clean it with that. Glad his heart murmur is better. I hope you get good test result back. Sending prayers.

Sorry the vet visit was stressful for all involved. Hope your bite heals quickly and Gizmo continues to feel wonderful (although maybe he could be a little nicer at his next vet appt). Sending vines for good results on the bloodwork. :bighug:

Interesting what your old vet gave you for cat bite.

Ledum is an oral homeopathic remedy used mostly for bites, scratches, thorns, splinters and the like.

Glad you’re recovering and Gizmo too from the day’s adventure.

Oh my Gizmo! glad he has gotten his spunk back! Gordy has an "A" now too . Ive just learned that he needs to be sedated to get a good exam (unless he is feeling ill). But I know some cats can't have that. I don't really like doing it, but its now the only way for them to check his teeth and muscle mass... or even get a weight sometimes. Stressful.

I too have veen bit at the vet... if I didnt have my hoodie on, I am pretty sure I would have had to go to the ER  i was indented (not actually punctured) so hard that the whole area turned deep purple and I havr have scars from it... and didn't even break skin. Good thing he is a big wimp at home. ;)

When TiTi utterly pigs out, her BG rises...usually...unless she's already on a downward path.

Holy cow! That's one awful big bite! Gawd, that's gonna' hurt. On the plus side, great that she's herself again, well, too bad she's that much herself, but whatcha' gonna do?
Purrs and healing vines to you both. Try to keep that hand elevated.
