AMPS 160

Hope everyone has a great hump day. :bighug: We have another set of sever weather headed this way. Lovely!

In case you missed my post last night - it was the potassium that was making him icky feeling and causing the eating issues. I eliminated it last night and this morning - absolutely no issues with eating or eating it all!

This happened before. Not sure what I am going to do as he needs potassium but for now - eating trumps potassium.

What do you give the potassium for?
He was low on his last BW. He has been low for almost a year. I don't fully understand but Marje explained it a while back. It has to do with both FD and the ckd. It is a balance thing to make things work like they should.

It is a double edge sword because early in ckd they tend to run low and as it progresses it runs high.

+2=113

I don't know if he is safe or not to leave for work. If I don't leave right now I am going to have to wait out the storm that is coming. Any advise?

Looks like Gizmo is on the move. :D

What type of potassium were you giving? Neko was getting potassium gluconate and it didn't seem to bother her.

Ignore my question, I just read last night's post.

Have you seen Dr. Lisa's post on the evils of dry food, even if it is low carb?
Yes. I am trying to get him to eat again right now. He ate his PS reluctantly about 15 min after shot. Ate +2 like he was starving. Just now tried to give him the +4.5 early and he won't touch it. This not eating with his numbers dropping make me extremely nervous. Last night I was looking for any solutions. Still considering. I don't know what to do.

How long since he last ate? Has it all been LC so far?

And yes, looks like a bounce break with a small "high" (for what that is for Gizmo now) before going down.
