Furball's reading this morning makes me think she is finally getting over the fur shot I gave the other day and the late dose. Poor kitty has been going up and down too much the last couple of days.

It took 5 pricks this morning before I could get a blood drop. Poor thing was hissing at me by the time I finally got the blood drop. I don't know why I can get blood drops with no problem for days and then suddenly I have a problem one day. Hopefully tonight will be easier.

That's a nice sunny start for Furball's day.

Keep coming down, nice and easy, Furball.

I know exactly what you mean about some days it just takes more pokes. I've been doing this for years, and I often still have to poke many times when blood just won't come. I appreciate it when I get a test with 1 poke.

It is weird the blood thing, Vyktor's left ear was the best bleeder for months and then all of a sudden it just stopped, luckily his right ear, which had never been great for blood, suddenly started flowing at the same time. Nice to see Furball starting from the yellow floor today.

Hi guys .. nice yellow this morning! Sorry to hear about the struggles with the pokes .. we also had day's like that .. I tried to not let the frustration show, as I think it upset mocha even more then the poking .. just hang in there .. have a great day guys!

Does anyone know if cats eating grass will cause the glucose to go up or down? My mom likes to bring some grass in the house when she comes to visit and feed it to my cats. I don't want to hurt Furball if she shouldn't eat it. Thanks.

I think you are ok. If he vomits after eating grass, that could possibly make his BG go up a little. We've seen LL kitties with hairball pukus have their BGs go up just a little.

But the grass itself should be ok....be sure there have been no pesticides or herbicides around it.
