Squallie seems much more like himself today! He was happy and purring, and moving around the house. He ate like a champ, hovered his brekkies down in no time flat (in all the years we've been together, I have never seen him eat that fast!), and stole most of civvie Candy's, to boot, lol. Now he is having a postprandial rest, and I'm crossing my fingers that he still feels good when his nap is over. :cat::cat:
 
I think I spoke too soon. :( Tonight Squallie is back to being borderline lethargic. He looks to me like he has suddenly lost weight and muscle tone, as well, I'm talking like practically overnight! He still has his old-man belly, but his sides look sunken in. It also seems like the insulin is having little effect tonight, so far, at any rate. Why do things like this only happen on long/holiday weekends???

No, he's mostly got his eyes closed.

I was afraid he'd lost some weight but according to his scales, he is exactly the same weight as on the 8th. Tis afternoon he climbed into my lap and started purring, which I take as a good sign. I'm hoping maybe it's just the change in weather that's got him down, we went from quite chilly to overly warm in just a day or two, and he never fares as well in the heat,
