Furball was happy & purry this morning. I started a new pen last night. I was at the end of my other pen. Her numbers have seemed a little strange to me lately. I wonder if it's because I was at the end of the pen? That was my first pen, so I'm not sure how long they last. I'm used to the vial, which lasts a lot longer.

I didn't make it to many condos last night. Here's what I wrote:

Sorry for the late post. My refrigerator died today. Furball's insulin is fine. Thankfully, I keep it in a small refrigerator in my bedroom. I have been running around all evening trying to figure out what to do with all my food. I went to Lowe's and got a replacement. It is supposed to be delivered tomorrow afternoon, so I have to take time off from work. Sorry I didn't get to many condos tonight. I hope everyone's furbabies are doing well.

I wish I could go btb, but I'm only taking the afternoon off. We are really busy at tbp right now.

Sending prayers for Cinco's surgery today. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: to Tricia. It's so hard to wait.

Hi Carla,

Hope the new pen brings Furball's numbers down. I think the pens last for at least 3 months, but if her numbers are getting wonky, I would try a new one too.
Bummer on the refrigerator. Hope you were able to save your food!

Hi Carla,

I'm so sorry Furball didn't break out of the yellows yesterday and that you're seeing a stinky pinky to start the day. I hope the new pen makes a difference!

Ugghhh on the fridge. That's one of the worst appliances that can go kaput. :YMSIGH:

Bummer on the fridge. That is quick delivery though! It took us five days to get ours from Lowes. Great thinking on a separate fridge for the insulin. Have a great day!

Bummer about the fridge - I hate unexpected little surprises like that! At least the new one is getting there fast.

Hopefully the new pen will bring better numbers for Furball. We used them down to the last drop, and depending on what Trix's dose is, that can take up to 45 days. Any time I've tried replacing a pen because of whacky numbers, it hasn't made a difference, but you never know.

Quite the day you had yesterday.... bummer on the frig! nothing worse I think than trying to figure out what to do with the food.... it is nice that you can get a new one today. Nice on the separate frig for the insulin. :-D

I used the pens too. We got about 40+ days out of one too, before it was all gone. I never really noticed much difference in numbers when I changed it out early due to wonky numbers. There just was no difference. I have read here though where folks have gotten pens that they felt were bad, numbers were off, and with a new pen they were back to normal. That however never happened to us. Ya never know though, it could be.

Hi guys .. Good luck with the new pen .. We seemed to only get about 30 days from mocha's pens .. of course, we could have just been paranoid about it going bad and changed it too soon .. Sorry to hear about your fridge going out, those "surprises" really stink! Have a great day guys!

Hi Carla! I hope you managed to get a good deal on a new fridge, bummer on the expense :? but at least a replacement is on it's way fast. Thank goodness you had a mini one, I hope you saved all your fuds!

I've never used the pens/cartridges either. I hope that the new one will slide Furball back down to some nice lower floors :-D . Have a good one!

The old pen was almost empty, so I decided to try the new pen. Hopefully Furball will get back to blues and greens soon. If not, I'll have to increase this weekend. She was doing pretty good until DST messed everything up.

My Mom took some of my food to store in her refrigerator, so I was able to save everything. I'm still waiting for the new fridge to show up. The time frame was from noon to 4:00. I hate waiting around when you have no idea when they'll show up.

Yay she's sliding down.

I still haven't gotten my refrigerator yet. I have been fighting a sinus headache all day. So, I called Lowe's about 2:30 to see if they could tell me when I would get it so I could take a nap. It's a good thing I did. They rescheduled it for tomorrow. I was so mad. I had to talk to an assistant manager. The manager is off today. I explained I took half a day off work and I my refrigerator had died so I have no fridge. He called the driver and said once he hears back from the driver, he'll call me to tell me when I'll get it. He assured me I'll get it today. I hope so. That was 1 hour and 40 minutes ago and I haven't heard anything.

Still no refrigerator. I called them back and asked how late they deliver and was told until 9 PM. Hopefully I really get my new fridge tonight.

Furball seems to be surfing along tonight.

I'm not getting my refrigerator today. The delivery driver never did call the assistant manager back. My Mom is able to come to the house tomorrow morning and it is supposed to be delivered then. I hope it really will be. This is very frustrating. I wasted 1/2 day's vacation time this afternoon since they didn't show up.

Good grief on the non-delivery! :-x :-x :-x They act like you have all the time in the world to wait around for them. I'm glad your mom can be there tomorrow. And Furball is looking much better tonight than this morning. :-D :-D
