This was the best condo to wake up to this morning! :) I'm so happy Gizmo is eating and cuddling! Glad you can get some more sleep too. Keep it up, Gizmo! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you everyone! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I think the whole house is feeling better today. I got almost 12 hours of sleep (small break to TFS @ 4am).

Gave fluids today around 11am and did it by myself (hubby had been helping the past few times). After Gizmo had droplets of blood hitting the floor and I freaked out. Got him back to the fluid "perch" and cleaned him up and it stopped almost immediately. I felt like a total failure but it seems it was just a fluke that I hit something. I know I got a good poke and was sub-q so I will just have to pay closer attention to where I poke (I think I was too low on his side).

@Chubba @Bronx's dad
Made a trip over to my local Petco. Found lots of what was on my list there so I thought I would pass it along.

My local Petco carries:
Whole Earth
Under the Sun
Wellness
Blue Wilderness (a little high on the phos but better than some others).
I attached the list again just for reference for those that may have missed it from a couple of days ago.

I picked up a few cans of each of those I hadn't ordered through Chewy. I also grabbed a couple of cans of the Organix to try again. Gizmo wasn't that crazy about them a year ago but he also didn't care too much for the pate's then so who knows:confused:. I feel better with the mixture of options (pate's) I now have on hand.

Happy to report that the clean bowl trend continues and he finished 85 grams of the Whole Earth Duck this morning cycle again! YAY.

He is being pretty lazy today but not acting "lethargic" - just content. He purrs every time I pick him up or he gets on the couch to get brushed or chin scratches.

I am going to give Cerenia every day for a while. Not sure about the Ondan... It sure seems to have a reverse effect (IDK). I will add it back in if the Cerenia doesn't seem to be doing the job. Since we go back for BW on Friday I will have them give another Cerenia shot if needed at that time. IMO - it sure broke the nausea cycle and I am sure that the B12 helped also.

When I was giving subq fluids, it did happen that I hit some small vein and blood poured out. It's a horrible feeling, and I would shake as I cleaned off my cat. But this was quite infrequent and did no lasting harm, in fact the cat had no idea it had happened.
The eating trend is superb! Keep it up, Gizmo!!

Great report for Gizmo today, eating well and waking up to snuggles! Sorry about the Sub Q mishap. I think I would be a bit freaked out too. The first time I hit a ear vein I was upset too. And you did it yourself! Take a bow. :bighug:
