Hi everyone,
yesterday we have had a wonderful am cycle and pm preshot. Then the little Miss Bouncy has returned to pink :p
Yesterday she didn't poop at all, so this morning I gave her her medicine for hairball and intestinal regularization. The vet has always told me that it is ok for diabetic cat, but I'm starting to have the doubt that it is the cause for many high bg numbers. It is mainly composed by fructooligosaccharides (FOS), but I can't understand if they can have negative effects on blood sugar in cats. Does someone of you know about them?

Have a great day!

I'm not familiar with that, but Dr. Google provides this information which seems to indicate that it can actually improve (lower) blood sugar in human diabetics.

Take a look at this study: http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&pid=S0102-86502012000300013
CONCLUSIONS: This review demonstrates that consumption of FOS has a beneficial influence on glucose metabolism. The controversies appear to be due to inadequate methodological designs and/or the small number of individuals included in some studies.
However, if you need to give her hairball medicine, many people use coconut oil, olive oil or butter to help with sending hairballs on through the system. There's no doubt that those won't increase blood sugar and they are safe for cats.
