Hi everyone, Willow had 2 more hard little buttons overnight...things are finally moving! I hope the lactulose will soften the remaining poop a *bit* lol to make it more comfortable, and that she continues to poop. Thank you *all* for your advice and kind thoughts :)

Hope you all had a great night and wishing you and your kitties a day of safe surfing! With love, Nikki

Maybe continue the lactulose on a regular basis to prevent future backups. I give to Ollie every other day to start, I didn't want to create the opposite. That seems to work for her.

I'm so happy to hear things are moving! I hope the lactulose continues to help. Paula's idea to continue is a great one I think. Gotta love how beautiful Willow's numbers are even with everything going on. Keep up the good work pretty girl! I hope both have a wonderful Friday!

Yay! Willow!

YAY for poop!
Has this happened before to Willow? If so, I would recommend giving the lactulose on a regular basis instead of periodically when she "needs" it. But please check into buying it from a pharmacy...so much cheaper!

Hi everyone, as a tmi update, Willow had a lovely big log this afternoon, and looks tremendously comfortable, so things are definitely working!

This is actually her first time being truly constipated; she seems to tend to slower motility usually, but it's been ok handled with more natural supplements so far. This bad episode was definitely caused by messing with her system with antibiotics for UTI. I've got probiotics for her, and will start her on those shortly. Once this has been cleared up I hope things can go back to being comfortably controlled with natural supplements; if there are any issues, though, I will definitely move to using lactulose on a regular basis. At this point, keeping her comfortable trumps everything else :) And *definitely* purchasing from a pharmacy!

Thank you all for all your thoughts and good wishes and advice, it means so much :) With love, Nikki

YAHOO for a lovely large poop! BTW, I don't think there is any information that is considered "TMI". lol. We are just as thrilled as you are when Willow feels better because of a large poop!

Awesome log report!! It’s better to not have to do lactulose regularly, so hoping the natural method works again.
