Furball was happy & purry this morning. She is feeling good.

I don't know if she's bouncing or that AMPS is a bad test. Our testing spot is on the kitchen floor. In hindsight, I can see that isn't the best place, but I didn't think about it when we started this dance. I strained my back earlier this week and yesterday pulled a muscle in my upper leg. Right now it is hard to get down on the floor to test. I didn't try to get a second test in. I figure I'll see what her next test is.

Ouches for you but more importantly Furball is felling good ;) hope it was a bad test, and that your injuries heal super fast.

Is there a rule that says you can't change your testing spot? Frankly, Cinco's tests happen wherever he happens to be a test time. T/f/s, of course, has a designated spot, but not the mid cycle tests. Our routine is different, of course, because Cinco is blind and doesn't come when called. Still, I don't know why you can't move your spot to someplace a little back friendlier.

Have a great day, Carla! Sending you healing vines.

I hope your back and leg heal quickly.
Maybe Furball would like to be tested in another place, too.

I guess it is a bounce.

AMPS and PMPS tests are on the kitchen floor. It is a routine and Furball runs to the kitchen at test time. Other tests are wherever I catch her, but it usually is in one of her many boxes that are on the floor. This morning she layed down on her side and stretched out on the kitchen floor. She only does that when she's feeling really good. I didn't have the heart to try and move her somewhere else to test, plus I don't think it would have been easy to pick up my 15 lb. kitty with a sore back. I may try to move the AMPS and PMPS tests to the kitchen table since it's routine to go in the kitchen.

Sorry to hear about your body aches. Having a comfortable test spot is so important. As much as I don't like the cats on the kitchen counter, we felt that was the best spot for testing and shots because it was easy access for me. We have under the counter lighting so not only is it at the right height, but the lighting is perfect. More times than not when I do a test somewhere else, in an effort to not disturb Sammy if he is sleeping, I have to poke him more than once to hit the sweet spot. If I tried to give the shot anywhere else I think I would have a lot of fur shots.

Hi Carla,
I hope your back and leg get better quickly. Have you ever tried Arnica Gel? It is great for muscle strains, bruises, etc.. You can buy it over- the- counter at any drugstore or health-food store. It really works, and it doesn't have that awful liniment smell. Wendy told me about it.

It looks like a typical morning bounce to me. Come back down to blue today, Furball!

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Carla :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Our testing spot was on the floor too. Mannie preferred it, and when he wanted me to test he'd go and sit there and meow until I came. We'd often a version of the Mannie fuds dance too when testing time came near. he always knew... anyways, testing was always on the kitchen floor, aches or no aches on me getting down there.:eek:o_O:) Funny too that he didn't like his shot in the same spot. That was given when he ate, at his fuds spot, which I hate to admit was on my kitchen table. :woot: he was so busy chowing down that he rarely paid the shot any attention. Funny how predictable and programmed they can be. Us humans too!

Bummer on that amps today, I too say bounce. looks like Furball is clearing it well though. Sure is nice to see that blue!

I hope yoyu feel better soon. Healing vines for you! I hope you have a good day today.

Hi Carla,
I'm sorry to hear that you hurt your back and leg.
Sending many healing vines.
I didn't know that sweet Furball weights 15lb!

Yeah on getting down to that pretty blue!!!

After 14 back surgeries, everything I do takes into consideration how easily I can get it done so China's spot was always up where I didn't have to get down much to get to her..of course she usually expects me to lift her up there!!

If Furball is game, you might see if you can retrain her for the counter or table! Be a lot easier on your sore back!

Hope the ache and pain fairy comes to take yours away soon!

Furball had a high blue, flat surf today. I hope she gets back to blue tonight.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes for my back and leg. I actually pulled my leg muscle trying not to bend over and hurt my back. I've been stooping down a lot and my leg didn't like it.

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) Thanks for the tip on the Arnica Gel. I do have some. It helps my leg, but not my back.

Sending vines for your back and leg. That can be really hard lifting the kitties when you hurt. Maybe move a small stool/ottoman into the kitchen and encourage her to jump on it?

More blues tonight please Furball.

Hopefully you start feeling better super fast! I have a hard enough time when my trainer is super mean, but it goes away in a day or so....I can't imagine having it all the time....

Furball, be nice to momma tonight!

We always tested Zener in the same place for the first couple of years. Then we got adventurous and started testing him wherever he was. It helped a TON to get a camping headlight (thank you, Ella, for that idea). It was hard to see with him being so black. Many vines for you leg and back, Carla. Nice to see that blue.

Sending vines for your back and legs Carla- lifting is very hard on the back, actually, so is bending over! Hope you feel better tomorrow! :bighug::bighug:
