This is our lowest AMPS, ever....

 

+1and he's already down to 124... Just fed more pate.
I think the Friskies Grill flavor is 11%..

If this drops him too low, probably going to have to take the reduction... Let's see.

I honestly thought the daylight savings thing was the reason for those 2 nights of drops..but now maybe the dose is a smidge high.

I suppose we'll know soon!

I was outside taking care of the shelter kitties, I have to go back out and clean their plates up and scoop litter. Will be back for +2!

 

Bounce clearing cycles have extra momentum and often reductions earned in those cycles don't hold. So it's okay to intervene with a little carbs - even a little HC - to prevent a drop below the reduction point.

Gave him the last tsp in the MC with some freeze dried chicken on it, so he'd eat it.

When I saw the 164 this morning, I used the MC instead of LC, so I think he's going to coast, but let's see what +3 says.

 

Yesterday's pattern was pleasing.

Even though he didn't hit a little lower, he had a pretty nice curve in both cycles.

 

I'm very happy that I didn't take the reduction. I sort of had a feeling that he was clearing a bounce, especially since we just increased. 2 cycles prior. The DST thing possibly added to it, but I'm glad I'm getting a good lesson on feeding and holding him, as far as what carbs and when, work for Sly.

 

Ok, so now I know I can do MC food at shot time when he's under 200, and then if he drops at +1, I'll use LC to hold him.

Its ok, 115 still makes me happy... The whole diet thing is a process!

 

Yes, feeding the curve is quite a bit of trial and error. It doesn't help that they may not respond to carbs in the same way in every cycle!

It sure is! Lots of experimentation!

At least I have a handle on about how many carbs are in each of the foods he gets, and I know I want to keep him as close to 300 cal/day, so I'm just reconfiguring the calories per snack, etc.

I am not a math person BTW... So this has been a challenge, and a learning experience, for certain.

 

Well that streak from last night in the blues was nice, now it's bouncy time....

 

Sly has made such great blue strides with a green (appropriately for St Patrick's day!)
