Yes, that was my same thought. It's coming on 15 minutes so I'll check and see if he's rising at all. I'll skip if he's not in the 70s because every time he's in the 60s he tends to want to float there the whole time or drop and I'd rather not deal with any 40s or even lower that I have to babysit the entire day trying to bring up.Under normal circumstances I would say shoot, but with everything going on it might be best to skip and give you both a break.
I don't have a pet store nearby and I don't have my own vehicle so I'd have to wait until my brother gets off work tonight which the pet stores that are 30 minutes will be closed already. Any human probiotics that are more safe for cats or will this be okay despite having extra sugars and carbs? I don't think I'll be able to get out for a few days and it'd be a moot point by then because I'll have to take him to the vet in 2 days if he doesn't poop.Googled some ingredients:
Maltodextrin is a polysaccharide (many carbohydrates joined together in a molecular chain) that is used as a food additive. It is produced from vegetable starch by partial hydrolysis and is usually found as a white hygroscopic spray-dried powder.
Maltodextrin is a white powder made from corn, rice, potato starch, or wheat. Even though it comes from plants, it's highly processed. ... However, after hydrolysis, corn syrup solids are at least 20 percent sugar, while maltodextrin is less than 20 percent sugar
there is also "starch" which I will assume is a carb..........maybe if added to LC food it might equal HC food?
Hope someone out there knows more than me!
Now it's lower...57. I'll test one more time in 15 minutes, if it's not up I'm skipping.
Do you think it's safe for me to shoot at 55?Lantus can sometimes cause a double dip.
If you are not comfortable giving the dose then skip. You are there, know Thomas and how he is.
I'm glad you were able to stock up on some meat. It's been crazy busy in the stores so I'm glad I went shopping last month and stocked up then. Still need a few extra things though now that I think about it. I know 50s are shootable but I worry he'll drop low. Yes, I'm thankful he has such a good appetite. Hoping he'll have a bowel movement by tomorrow.Sorry Brittany I went back offline as I needed to cut up and portion meat meals and freeze for the cats. I was able to buy some more meat, it’s been in short supply with everyone stocking up for when we go into lockdown. My cats only eat raw so I can’t stock up on canned.
I don’t think you are a scaredy-cat at all. You are just concerned about Thomas. I’m so glad he’s eating well today.
