I'm sorry about today's low number. I left instructions for my husband; he had to leave early for an exam and wouldn't be home at the AMPS, but he ignored my instructions. When I got home, I checked his blood sugar and it was 40. I didn't want to get angry, but it really bothered me that he didn't follow my instructions. The problem is going to be when I go to work; I don't know how I'm going to manage.

I’m sorry your husband didn’t listen to you.
Sadly, mine doesn’t listen well either. I can relate to your frustration 😢

I’m glad Sinver is having very nice cycles though. Good job Xelo!
Have a very safe night 🌊🏄‍♀️🐈‍⬛😻

Ugh, I'm sorry. I get frustrated at times and wish I had a co-pet-parent to help me out with Gen, but I guess at least when it's all on me, I don't have to worry about someone else's foibles.

No need to get into it if you'd rather not, but I'm curious about what your husband didn't do, and why? Wondering if the problem is confusion, forgetfulness, just not being as invested in cat care ... etc. I'd hate for you to have to worry so much when you're working.

Allie, I had to leave because I had a very important exam early in the morning. I wasn't going to be at the vet. I left him a note about the dosage and feeding, and that I should take blood in two hours to check his glucose. He only fed him once in eight hours with the full insulin dose, and he didn't feed him again until after the exam. When I got back from the exam, he hadn't paid any attention to the note. He doesn't want to keep track of the cat; he's not as strict as I am because I think he's not aware of the problems that can be caused to the cat if it's not properly managed.

After studying for my exam, I have to go back to work, but my husband isn't very cooperative. I've figured that when I leave the house, I'll be gone for at least nine hours. I'll leave Sinver in a room with his automatic feeder and a litter box. I don't have any other solution, considering my husband won't be keen on the idea. He also leaves early for work, and I think this will be a safe way to keep an eye on the cat. I'm also going to see if I can buy a camera and put it in the room so I can monitor what Sinver is doing from work while I'm gone. I'm getting overwhelmed just thinking about it, but I have to work; I have to cover Sinver's expenses. :nailbiting: :rolleyes:

Sounds like a good plan Xelo.
The camera will give you good peace of mind.
Sorry your husband won’t help out, it makes it extra stressful.
You’re doing such a great job with Sinver 🫂🥰🫂

I have cameras for my kitty's and it definitely helps to ease the worry ❤️ Wishing you the best!

I use a camera too and it's been crucial for me, so I hope it helps for you. Wishing you the best. ❤️

I'm so sorry your husband won't help. I don't understand that at all, and I suspect my feelings on the matter would only be unhelpful. But wishing you and Sinver all the best with this tricky situation!
