Good morning, everybody!

Chaos is still doing his trampoline act. 383... icky pink. You know, I really liked pink before I started all this spreadsheet business :lol: . Hopefully he comes down gently. If he could learn to do that maybe we wouldn't have so many bounces? I'm pleased with some of his nadirs on this dose so far and I think we're getting closer to where we want to be. Maybe he just needs some time to calm down his excitable liver? I would love to see him graduate from 'liver training school'. Is there anything I can do to make this easier for him?

Today is THE DAY, everyone. I feel like this is the most important interview of my life so far. Sure, it's not for some high-powered uber-respectable job, but it's what I love. It would make me so happy to be able to say "I'm a baker and cake decorator" when someone asks what I do for a living. I'm going into this with only 3 or 4 hours of sleep (stupid nerves!), so I'm glad the interview is at 1 PM before I get too tired and spaced out. All the positive vibes and love I have received here are so helpful, thank you so much. Things seem easier when I think about how many people are cheering me on.

(Chaos, please cooperate or you're getting a big fat plate of gravy and I'm going to the interview anyway. :lol: )

Can't help with Chaos and liver training school. Maverick has never dived once. His arthritis keeps him grounded :mrgreen:

Chaos just might want that plate of gravy so not so sure how good a threat it is :lol: but I hope he cooperates and you have an amazing interviews. Sending lots of good luck vibes.

Wow... I might have to get Chaos a diving mask and some flippers instead of nanners. Look at him dive! I hope he slows down soon. I would hate to wreck a nice cycle with HC or MC food because I must leave for this interview.

Thanks, everyone. Too bad I have no clue how I did. Today's interview was one of those lousy preliminary interviews in which I had to answer trick questions about customer service. I never have any clue, at the end of it, how well I did. If they are going to call me in for a "specialist interview", I will hear from them by Friday. I tend to think it's bad when they tell you that- give you a definite date to stop waiting by the phone, basically. But if I get the specialist interview, I will have to do something actually relevant to the job, like decorate a cake.

Chaos was cooperating nicely with a 122 at +5 so at least that went well.

:RAHCAT I wish I would have caught this earlier to wish you luck with the interview! But I'm sure you did great and have no doubt in my mind you will get that phone call before friday ... And I must also say that chaos is looking good in blue this afternoon .. and I think if any of us had any suggestions on how to get our kitties out of LTS a little faster we would all be telling it!

It's OK Devon, you knew what was going on :mrgreen: Good point about everyone being in the same boat when it comes to LTS. If there was a trick to it, someone would probably have told me about it by now! :lol:

I'm baking my mom's b-day cake right now, trying not to second-guess every answer I gave on that interview. Next, my first attempt at making lemon curd, which sounds awful but is wonderfully silky and delicious. Now that should keep me busy! :lol:

Check out my White Boy, surfing the afternoon away on the blue floor. Tres cool. He is one happy, purry boy today, he's been following me around the house and watching me bake. I was curious to see how he was doing after his +5, and I know I should get more +9s than I do. I'm really happy I got a +9 today, it's excellent!

Hey Violet, I'm sure you Aced that interview. And you will get to do the "real" interview (or audition, or whatever they call it).

And look at Chaos's numbers today: nice blue surf!! I think that's a good sign, too!

Enjoy your cake baking and the lemon curd. It's been forever since I've had lemon curd. Want to send some to us???

I'm sure you did great, Violet... and I'm sure the cake department will be much more concerned about your skills than some silly customer service questions. :) I totally forgot a story I was going to tell you from a couple weeks ago! We were having a going away party for a colleague who had gotten a job with Homeland Security, so I went to the local grocery store (in a town considered to be pretty redneck) to get her a cake. I asked them to put Best Wishes, Tammy on the cake. I got "Best Wish's Tammy," which looked somewhat like "Boots washes Tommy." I had a good laugh and immediately put it on the facebooks. The cashier offered me a do over, but I was afraid they would waste a perfectly good cake! :lol: I remember thinking at the time, "If only Violet lived HERE!!"

What a great cycle for Chaos today! It looks like he is starting to clear his bounces more quickly!

Lemon curd sounds divine. I haven't made any in awhile... I make lemon curd stuffed cupcakes... white cake with a little lemon zest and extract, cut off the tops, scoop out some cake with a melon baller, fill with the curd, do a cut out on the tops (I like little stars), dust them with powdered sugar and put them back on the main part of the cupcake. I think it was a Martha Stewart recipe, but they turned out beautifully. She may be an ex-con, but woman knows her way around a cupcake!

Will be keeping fingers and paws crossed for a second interview!!

Your cake sounds awesome. And Christie's cupcakes too. I've never baked anything in my life. DH just showed me how to use the breadmaker. As if I can remember all that ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile

:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Christie, I wish I could have helped you out with that one. What a cakewreck! I'm on the facebooks and would love to see the photo. :-D Your cupcakes sound soooo nice. That's exactly what DH wants me to do w/ the lemon curd: put it in cupcakes! My lemon curd looks like it's supposed to, but I'm puzzled by its lack of lemony smell once cooked. I'm letting it cool and will do a taste test later to determine if I'm WINNING or if I need to go buy a large jar of lemon curd from the store! :lol:

Chaos is in super-bounce mode again. How does he do it, folks? He should be a sideshow attraction or something. PMPS 349 ohmygod_smile at least he had a nice blue surf behind it. It's entirely likely he could do the same tonight... only time and my trusty BG meter will tell. Someday he will earn his LTS diploma, but not today.

I apologize for not getting to visit condos today. My kitchen and my mom's b-day cake, combined with the interview, kept me over-occupied. I'll check in on everyone tomorrow, when I'm not so bleary-eyed. :YMHUG:
